Some people just don’t get it (but maybe you should)
Let’s start with what most people point out: this is a great value. You get a ton of these things for an incredibly fair price.Now let’s move the elephant in the room: the negative and/or slightly negative reviews about freshness. First, I can see where some people are coming from. This is not an air-locked boxed with a pressurizing pump to keep these waxy delights fresh. No, this is a large plastic tub with the thinnest of plastic pieces wrapping said tub before you open it. Then, well, you open it (and, note, there is no hiss as the precious air therein is expelled . . . it is just a plastic wrapper so that the top doesn’t come off). And you eat some. And then you eat some more. The tub stays the same shape and size (stay with me, negative reviewers). What replaces the waxy stuff? Air. Lots of it. What happens? Things get a tad, and then a touch more, and then a whole lot more, stiff. Why? Air! Oh no!!! Your product is now not-so-fresh. Worse yet, it gets stale. DUH!Thing is, I don’t mind this stuff a touch on the stale side. Never did. But I was told by a really smart oracle the secret: take those waxy delights out of the flimsy tub (remember: great value for what’s inside) and–wait for it–place them in something that is air-tight. WOW! AMAZING! Will they stay fresh forever? No, they won’t. Were they ever a soft product? No, they weren’t. And this was never advertised as a “Great Value in a Magical Freshness Box.” So knocking stars off what you got just suggests that you, the customer, were hoping for more even after looking at what you got (and what was described). Even worse? It suggests you don’t understand how air/product interaction works. Worse still? You don’t own other containers that can help you hold off the loss of freshness for a product that is, even in smaller packages for higher prices, never a “fresh” (read: soft, like some other competitors’ offerings) product.Me? I don’t mind. Third order. And, while I own magical freshness boxes and bags, I still let those waxy delights deplete themselves in that flimsy tub. Your experience may vary. But keep your oafish reviews to yourself if you can’t handle complicated things like storage. I’d hate to see what your vegetables looks like! And I doubt I would show up at your place for sushi!Science. It’s what’s for dinner. Even when eating licorice.

Yes, this is one of my favorite candies. I don’t buy much candy but when I do, there’s certain ones that I prefer and I never have any problems with Twizzlers Because they are soft, they’re fresh and they have the perfect taste

Still have 4 stars, however, mine arrived with the plastic box damaged so they were no longer sealed from air. They were not “too” hard yet so this might have happened in transport.
