Best of the best gel pens
These are really my favorite gel pens. 1.0 mm tip for smooth writing every time. And made by a brand I know and trust.I ordered this because I washed and dried my last one. It didn’t explode, but it just wouldn’t write anymore. And at a little over $1.00 per pen the price can’t be beat for a Sharpie product. One thing to be aware of, because it caught me off guard for not having seen this in years. Each pen has a wax protector tip that must be removed. It peeled off easily enough. I don’t recommend using a lighter to flame it off, just peel it with your finger. The ink flow is perfect and it dries on contact.I love them and if you like gel pens you should too.Definite 5 star rating!

I’m not a gel fan but I love this pen
If you’ll pardon the pun, on paper I should hate this pen. It’s gel (strike one), 1.0 (strike two), and the body is made up of cheap plastics and rubber (yer out!).But, somehow all these parts I hate add up to a pen I love. I do really like the black and silver colors; it’s understated but stylish. And while it’s cheap materials, the black plastic means scratches in the pen body aren’t going to show, and my hand has a very easy time finding the best grip on it.Usual drawbacks of gel; I’m not left-handed but somehow I always end up with smears. I’m not particularly skilled in my penmanship so the 1.0 size is a little too squidgy (to use a technical term) but it’s still legible.Overall I’d say this is a great inexpensive pen, and I’m going to make sure I have these on hand for the future. They write great, but are cheap enough that I won’t be mad about them walking away with a friend (the first time, anyway)

    My new fave
First I will say my box came and it had obviously been opened prior to me getting it (the pen box, not the Amazon box). It was taped shut and a couple of the pens were retracted (meaning they had the point expended) and the little gel thing from the tip was missing. Fine. They were all there. I did t inspect ink levels but I may now. Just weird to send it that way. However, I’m always on the hunt for smooth pens. Usually use a medium point 0.7 gel pen. Didn’t even know there was a 1.0 type until now. I ordered these and a pack by another manufacturer (one I normally get) to compare, both 1.0. I can’t believe how smooth these write and how clear the ink is, deep black. I have a new favorite for sure! I used it to write in a journal style book as well, where sometimes the ink bleeds a bit with some pens. No bleeding, no smearing. Good job Sharpie!

All time favorite pen, gorgeous line, feel good in hand and when writing. Rubberized grip
In a way, I hate to write this review. These are my favorite pens and everyone will want them too.Well maybe if I write this, they will keep producing them, because everyone wants them.Maybe the rest of you aren’t like this, but I appreciate a nice pen. That is measured by how they feel in your hand, how they feel when you are writing and how they look on the page. This pen wins on all 3 fronts.RUBBERIZED GRIP, BUT SLIMWhile this pen has a rubberized grip, it still is a slim pen. It feels good in your hand.RETRACTINGI like a retracting pen. No cap to keep track of. Less likely to get ink on stuff you don’t want to.PEN CLIPThis is minor as most pens have them, but if you have broken a clip on a pen, you find you lose them faster. The combo of a clip and retracting is a winning oneSMOOTH GLIDE WHEN WRITINGGel pens have the smoothest writing feel. As a person who spent years on a drawing board, you learn that if the pencil (in that case) has too much drag your hand will hurt at the end of the day. This pen moves like it is on ice and it has an even flow of ink.BOLD LINENow the next part is preference, I like a bold line and at 1.0, this is one of the bolder ones. However it is hard to tell the difference between 0.7 and 1.0, so if you like bold either might suit you. I’m going to include a picture of a Sharpie S-Gel Black ink line at 0.7 and a Blue line at 1.0. You can see the difference but it is subtle.I really enjoy the pens. I keep getting 12 packs.

    A Mixed Bag of Performance
The SHARPIE S-Gel Gel Pens have been a bit of a mixed bag for me. As someone who writes extensively, finding the right pen is crucial. These pens have shown their magic on regular paper, delivering a smooth and bold writing experience that I truly appreciate. The ink appears darker and the overall writing quality is impressive. However, the gel nature of these pens presents a challenge when it comes to certain types of paper. On absorbent paper, the ink tends to bleed, which can be frustrating and affect the overall writing experience. It’s definitely a love-hate relationship in this aspect. One standout feature is the rubber grip, which adds a comfortable and ergonomic touch to the writing process. Despite the bleeding issue on some paper types, the overall quality and smoothness of these pens make them a great choice for regular paper usage.

    Very happy!
Very clear bold lines! Perfect for my quick scribble work order notes! Seem to run empty a little faster because the line is using more ink but they write very smooth and bold and clear! Definitely be buying more but might go with the medium line so I can write a little bit finer when I need to. Ps the ink does dry very quick and is pretty smudge resistant unless it gets wet 😉

    Best pens ever!
I love the bold tip and can’t find anything other than 0.7 in stores where I live. They write amazingly smooth and the ink is a nice bold black. They fit comfortably in your hand and last a long time. I love the top click design, much easier to use than the pens with the clip clicks.

I wouldn’t say I’m a pen snob, but being a lefty limits your choices unless you want ink all over your pinky. These are now my favorite pen. My Energel is a close second but I definitely use it less after having these . Writes smooth and the 1mm is bold. Ink cartridge is the width of the pen so should last a while.
