The SAKURA Pigma Micron Fineliner Pens are fantastic! I really enjoy using them for doodling, and they work incredibly well for detailed drawings. The ink flows smoothly, and the lines are crisp and precise, making them perfect for any kind of sketching or intricate artwork. In love with these!
There is so much to love about this pen set I will start with what I love and work my way down to the suggestions and possible caveats.I love the variety of sizes. I start with the 05(.45mm) for standard line design and alternate between the 02(.30mm) and the 005(.20mm) for the ultra fine lines and crosshatching. The ink flow is amazingly smooth and consistent and very dark. I use a variety of paper weight and have had no issues with smudging as this dries extremely fast. Even on basic scrap paper or 20 pound printer paper there is no bleed through at all and I love that. Drawing on a basic 60 pound paper with the darkest fill ins there is nothing visible on the other side and that is huge for me. Was the main reason I gave up Sharpie Pens as they bleed too badly for double sided work. Can’t vouch for the amount of ink these contain because I have not run dry on even the most used yet. I got this particular set because if was cheaper than the set with 6 pens at the time. Having never used I brush pen I went ahead and fooled around with it and ended up loving it! The variety of lines you can lay down with it makes for some intriguing designs and with some finesse I can get a line as narrow as the 005.Now for the other side. You MUST cap these pens when not in use. If you leave them open the tips WILL dry out and that is a pain to clean and I speak from personal experience with pens of these types. Rubbing alcohol will help if you forget. The other thing to understand is how fragile the tips are. These lay down ink with the slightest pressure from both tip and side but they are so narrow that you can mush them with a heavy hand and break the tip and then they are ruined. If you use these for writing text you will need to go slow, these aren’t your old ballpoints. This can be a plus if you have poor penmanship because slow and steady wins. Take care when writing on other surfaces as well. Plastic or smooth film-like surfaces will smudge. Drawing across other things such as dried paints, cloth, or anything with fibers or paint that might flake off will clog the tips but, inking before painting and you will be fine. These lines don’t smudge on paper even when gone over with watercolor. For drawing and line work on paper these have an amazing quality of ink and will never let you down by smudging, bleeding, or fading as long as you understand to avoid a heavy hand and take care of them.

    Love these quality artist pens!
I bought these to use for my husband’s birthday gift. I used these pens in college for my art classes, so I figured it was a safe bet to try them again for a project like this. In my opinion, they’re of great quality and the variation of sizes make it easy to pick and choose which pens you need for any project. I love to make homemade cards, so I’ll definitely be using these again in the near future – plus they’re a good price that I know will last awhile! 10/10 recommendation for any amateur artist such as myself.

    Good drawing pens!
For the Sakura Micron Fineliners, I actually really enjoy using them. I think I enjoy the brush tip and graphic liner tip the most, because they allow for a lot of creativity in artwork. The fineliners are a bit questionable, I enjoy them a lot for outlining my drawings but after a while they will get worn and the felt tip might rip straight off. I accidentally had dropped one of these pens on the floor once, and the tip fell right off and it is no longer usable (for reference, it was the 08, so not the smallest fineliner pen). They are very fragile and if used I really suggest being careful with ALL of them, not just the 005. Otherwise, these are very precise, last a long time, and work pretty well for me.

    Reliable
Sakura is a brand that has been around for several decades. They have a huge line of art products. A relative of mine was stationed in Japan for a few years, and I was the lucky recipient of a few sets of pens and water colors. The pens come in different sizes from 01 to 10. and more. They do not leak and last for a long time. Cant wait till they come out with some new product!

The grip on these pens is unmatched, and feel very nice to hold. The ink flows nicely, does not bleed even a lil, and dries fairly quickly. The versatility in the sizes, the long shelf life, archival quality and being waterproof make these an absolute must have. Highly recommend.

This product has pros and Con’s:Pro’s -**Sakura Pigma Micron Pens: A Comprehensive Review****Pros:**1. **Variety of Tip Sizes:** One of the standout features of the Sakura Pigma Micron Pens is the wide range of tip sizes available, from ultra-fine 005 to bold 1mm brush. This variety allows for versatile line work and artistic expression across different projects.2. **Consistent Ink Flow:** These pens are renowned for their consistent ink flow, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted lines without blotching or skipping. This reliability makes them ideal for precise detailing and intricate artwork.3. **Archival Quality:** The Pigma ink used in these pens is archival quality, meaning it is waterproof, fade-resistant, and chemically stable. This ensures that your artwork remains vibrant and intact over time, making them suitable for professional use and archival purposes.4. **Versatility:** Whether you’re sketching, illustrating, writing, or engaging in intricate art projects, Sakura Pigma Micron Pens offer versatility across various mediums including paper, fabric, and wood.5. **Durable Tips:** The tips of these pens are durable and resistant to fraying, even with regular use. This durability ensures longevity, making them a cost-effective choice for artists and designers.6. **Comfortable Grip:** The ergonomic design of the pens provides a comfortable grip, reducing hand fatigue during extended periods of use. This is particularly beneficial for artists who engage in detailed work.7. **Quick Drying:** The ink dries quickly, minimizing smudging and allowing for immediate layering and blending techniques without compromising the quality of the artwork.**Cons:**1. **Price:** While the quality of Sakura Pigma Micron Pens is undeniable, the price point may be considered relatively high compared to some other disposable pens. This could deter budget-conscious consumers, particularly those who are just starting out in art or design.2. **Limited Color Range:** While these pens excel in black ink, the color range is somewhat limited compared to other art supplies. This may be a drawback for artists who require a wider spectrum of colors for their projects.3. **Ink Refills Not Available:** Unlike some other pens, Sakura Pigma Micron Pens are not refillable. Once the ink runs out, the entire pen needs to be replaced, which can be less eco-friendly and potentially more costly in the long run. And when you use the fine liner on work done by a pencil, it will dry out.4. **Susceptible to Bleeding on Certain Papers:** While the ink is generally quick-drying and resistant to smudging, it may bleed through or feather on certain types of paper, particularly thinner or lower-quality paper. This could limit the pens’ suitability for specific projects or preferences.5. **Prone to Clogging:** Although the ink flow is generally consistent, the fine tips of Sakura Pigma Micron Pens may be prone to clogging, especially if not used regularly or if exposed to dust or debris. Regular cleaning and proper storage are recommended to maintain optimal performance.6. **Not Suitable for Large-scale Work:** While these pens excel in intricate detailing and fine lines, their small tip sizes may not be suitable for larger-scale artwork or projects requiring broad strokes. Artists looking for pens specifically for large-scale work may need to explore alternative options.Overall, Sakura Pigma Micron Pens are a popular choice among artists and designers for their consistent performance, versatility, and archival-quality ink. While they may have some drawbacks such as price and limited color range, their reliability and precision make them a valuable addition to any artist’s toolkit.
