Tasty, efficient, good for kids & older, great value for price
Pleasantly surprised at this version of Kraft’s Mac & Cheese. I used to try these “bowl” versions in college, and after microwaving, the water had this foamy texture that was extremely unpalatable, but luckily, this microwavable version doesn’t have that.Pros:-Easy-to-read, understandable step-by-step instructions with infographics (with a clear warning about how hot it can get)-Taste is true to the brand (it really has stayed consistent over the years! If you like that sort of thing.)-Efficiently packaged (it’s an incredible value for the price – 18 satchets packed neatly into a 2 lb 6.7oz box, great for snacks, trips, small easy meals, “fuel”)Cons:-It’s not the healthiest/sustainable food option, one might think of it more as “emergency/junk” food-The macaroni comes in plastic packaging – if you’re not a fan of plastic, this isn’t for youOverall, love the product. It’s a childhood classic that’s still around, and does what it does well. It’s easy to see why it has such popular appeal, and the value for the price is unbeatable.

8 year old loves it
My son loves these! He loves cheese in general and the serving size of this is perfect for an afterschool snack. Easy to make he does it all on his own with no help from me. Subscription from Amazon makes it no fuss ordering at a great price.

Use a larger bowl than you think you need and supervise younger kids
I make a fantastic pasta and cheese and always have some vacuum sealed packages in my freezer for last minute dinners. But, I grew up on the blue boxes of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, usually sharing a box with one of my sisters after school. I made it for my daughter for special occasions and she makes it for her kids as well even though she also makes a mean pasta and cheese. I have to add that we always add vegetables. For the past year, I’ve been purchasing assorted prepackaged mac and cheese options and I’ve learned what works for us and what does not work for us. I do not like the packages with a cheese sauce at all and my neighbors are happy for that because they accept them in the bags of food I share. I tried this box of 18 individual servings because they have less packaging, are prepared in the microwave and involve only a bowl, spoon and glass for measuring 2/3 cup of water. No cover for the bowl, nothing else added unless you want vegetables and I’d suggest adding them after the package is prepared.First of all, the water boils violently, so use a bowl larger than you think you need. Watch it carefully the first time you prepare one so you can stop the microwave if necessary unless you don’t mind losing some of the starchy water and having to clean the microwave interior. Secondly, the bowl will be HOT, so watch younger kids who might want to prepare these on their own. Those are my only warnings. After 3.5 minutes, the pasta is likely done, so remove the bowl, add the powdered cheese powder, stir, wait a minute, add what you want to add, eat. It is salty, my only real criticism. The look and taste is very similar to the blue boxes of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese and you have a single serving which prevents eating more than you really need or want to eat for a meal or heavier snack. The school aged and younger kids love these and they take up no space in the refrigerator, freezer, and require no reheating the next day. Just open another packet if you are so inclined and repeat. These are not the nutritious meals I like to prepare, serve or consume, but for their ease, taste, satisfaction, reduced packaging and cost, I think they are one of the best in this category.

My kids love them!
They’re easy to make and how much my kids love mac n cheese makes these a pantry necessity. I’m always busy so when my tweens come home from a long day of “school starvation” 😛 and so they say. These are perfect as a side dish or just an overall main dish.

Good buy, but you need your own bowl
Welp…i saw but didn’t read. You need your own bowl with these…and a measuring cup. What would be helpful is if the bag the noodles came in could be used like a measuring cup ( some instant oatmeal i used to get did this and was helpful) But all in all, tastes just like the ones that come in the little bowls. Would i buy again…probably not but who knows. The boxed ones are preffered but these are a good size to munch on

Kraft dinner single serving
First, same great mac and cheese in a perfect single serving size. No milk needed and you won’t miss it at all. Collage student, camping/backpacking, office meal, storm box, lunch or dinner side with no waste. All your standard add ins will work (a little hot sauce and butter for me) just fine, (packet of bagel cream cheese is also great). 2/3 cup of water is all that is needed and that is exactly a half full pouch that the pasta comes in. Boil the pasta till done or microwave 4 minutes if available, do not drain remaining water , add the cheese packet and you’re ready to eat. Great convenience, and great price.

Kraft ‘Not so Easy Mac”
I’m not too picky about cooking instructions normally but I don’t use microwavable products very often. This one is a doozy. According to the package instructions one should Add 2/3 Cup of water and microwave or Add 1 Cup of water and microwave or Add 2/3 Cup of water and microwave. No matter which way it’s prepared it’s overcooked or undercooked or just so whatever you want because it’s meh.

On time and proper order.

My son loves this. He can make it himself, and prefers it over it over the individual cups. Wish it was still sold in local stores

Way too expensive but I guess u r paying for the convenience. Teenager loves them for lunch but the cost is prohibitive to keep in stock at all times paid just under $30 for case. U would be better off buying regular KD on sale on splitting box using a scale to weight cheese and split 1/2 macaroni in a zip lock. U can usually get a case of 12 boxes for $12-15 that would give 24 ziplock bags ready for lunch. Although u have to experiment with the cooking time as macaroni is different! Look on line Iâm sure someone has figured it out.
