Best Smart Lock Ever – Sun will not kill battery
I love this lock. It works great – has lots of features other smart locks donât have. It has a digital keypad and you can set it up with a code, fingerprint or card access. All work great. It also has an app so you can set it up thru the app – which is super user friendly. You can even lock and unlock the door with the app – but to use that feature more than 10 feet away I think you need to buy the gateway – for about $40. . You can set up a large number of different users and with the app you can identify them by name etc. . You can set up temporary codes – like for a repairman to access your house. I love the passage mode which lets you leave it unlocked as long as you want – this is great when have workers going in and out all day during remodeling and the like. Most smart locks let you set a delay of 2-5 minutes before it locks but donât have this passage mode feature. Customer service is great on replying and helping.I Also love the integrated handle – some digital locks have a separate handle and they may not install right with your existing holes – so you end up with open holes exposed or having to get a new door – so be careful with that. This one for right in my existing holes and allowed me to put a separate deadbolt on top.I canât say enough about how great this lock is. And the price is excellent. Try and buy a lock like this at Home Depot and it will cost you $300.Warning – Digital Locks and the Sun: I had bought another lock when the buttons.on my old digital lock kept getting stuck but that new lock had a problem in that batteries died in 2or 3 days. Bought it again thinking it was a lemon but the replacement had the same problem. Finally figured out it was the 2 hours of morning sun hitting my East facing door that was causing the problem. This lock does not have that problem. Itâs been working great now for 2 weeks.

10 Stars!
Ok, I know 5 stars is the limit but I want to give it 10! After years of making sure I had keys with me whenever I walked out to my shop, I finally pulled the trigger on this smart lock. The good;1. The general design.A. It looks good.B. The keypad lights up so it doesn’t even show until you tap it and it is easier to see in the dark.(Also, to would-be burglars, they might not even realize there is a keypad by just looking at it.C. The keyhole is also hidden. (See above)2. The installation instructions using the App. Very clear, very easy.3. The biometric option means I don’t even have to enter a code to get in. :)4. The options in the App to have it relock automatically if you want, even at specific time frames only.Ex: I have mine auto relock before 8am and after 8pm, during the daytime, if I unlock it, it just stays unlocked.5. The ability to give others separate codes and be able to track who goes in and when.6. There are other options that I haven’t even explored yet.The Bad;1. Uhhhh……ok, this is super petty but one of the packages of screws (Which are all labeled with what step they should be used with) did not specify which screws to use (Long ones or short ones). It gave an option for a wider door width and a narrower door width but none for the width of my door. (The actual instructions did provide this info). So, I used the longer screws first but they were too long to actually snug the lockset up tight. When I replace them with the shorter option screws it worked perfectly. Again, SUPER PETTY. I really only added that to help someone if they install and it does not seem secure. That might be the reason. Conclusion;I love this lockset and will be buying one or two more soon!!!

At last a product that eliminates the need for front door keys. An issue did arise with the handle that Sifely Support Team promptly sorted for me with little fuss. Delighted with the quality of the lock and ease of use.

I never have to carry keys anymore! Itâs such a freedom Iâve never known. The set up and installation was quite easy. This product pays for itself, youâll never have to pay for a locksmith again or get lost keys cut. Itâs a great quality if life improvement for sure. The fingerprint reader works 95% of the time, Iâd say the 5% it doesnât work is completely my fault for not placing my finger correctly or if itâs a bit dirty.

REVIEWED AT MAY 2024.I bought another similar from the “brother brand” and noticed it has the same wrong behavior, moving the internal lever upwards makes impossible to open it from outside, it accepts the fingerprint or IC card but never moves the latch. To me, it is a faulty design.OIRGINAL COMMENT:Very good characteristics and very solid materials. The installation is done in a very short time, it is really easy. However, I noticed that moving the internal handle up, i.e. contrary to the direction to open and move the latch, the system is not available to open at all, neither using fingerprints, administration code, electronic keys, etc. The only way to open it is to use the physical key provided or if it opened from inside. This is really weird to me. It is not good at all for housing rentals (such as Airbnb). Imagine a guest who involuntarily moves the handle up before leaving, he will never be able to enter again!!! S/he will have to call the administrator to go (probably travel from far) to open the door. This is even worse when the intelligent lock is intended to the main door of a building, where there are several apartments, the involuntary handle movement will make impossible for all tenants to enter the building and they have to call and wait for the administrator to bring the physical key to open the main door … how annoying and shocking it can be whether this happens in the middle of the night. The support service that is really good and responsive, told me that it could be a defective factory lock and offered me to replace it, however, I am living in Japan and this lock was a kind of US import article, therefore, it was impossible to return it or receive a new one from factory. Fortunately, Amazon’s return window was still open and I could return this defective lock.I hope to find another smart lock that has the same characteristics like this, robust enough but fault free.

Installation took longer than anticipated as our door didnât have a big enough hole to fit everything attached to the lock so weâve had to cut a bigger hole.Once everythingâs screwed in place, setting up everything on the app was really easy (passcode, fingerprint, card). So far so good, havenât had any problems locking/unlocking.One thing I wasnât sure about was how to lock the door from outside without using my phone and it turns out that it locks automatically after 5 seconds (default) of the door being closed – can be changed to longer/shorter delay.Fingerprint is very convenient and is the one I use the most. Phone, passcode and access card as back up.
