MADE FOR GROOMERS, BY GROOMERS. Happy Hoodie was created as a grooming tool to CALM & protect dogs from the loud noise & high-pressured air associated w/ force drying. Happy Hoodie saves valuable time in the Grooming Salon & creates a safer environment by calming upset, disagreeable, aggressive, or sensitive dogs during any potentially stressful situation, such as toenail clipping, clipper work, brushing, bathing, etc. The dog anxiety calming aid you want to have in your dog grooming tool kit.
HOW TO REDUCE NOISE. It is important to place the ears DOWN over the ear canals so the ear canals are NOT exposed, then secure them in place w/ Happy Hoodie. Noise reduction is achieved by Happy Hoodie’s gentle compression closing off the ear canal. IF YOU THINK IT’S TOO TIGHT, PLEASE KNOW SNUGNESS IS NECESSARY. IF YOUR 4 FINGERS FIT UNDER IT, IT’S NOT TOO TIGHT (IT’S SO STRETCHY!). Pets appreciate it most when used ONLY during a stressful situation. PLEASE REFER TO SIZE GUIDE BEFORE PURCHASE.
HELPS KEEP PETS CALM AND COMFORTABLE AT HOME TOO! Uses include: Anti-anxiety aid for stress in the home, car, and at the Vets; dog ear muffs for noise cancelling to protect dogs’ ears and hearing from loud noise, such as Thunder, Fireworks, vacuums, and gun fire; aerate the ears; heal or prevent hematomas; neck and ear warmers; grooming aid; keeping long ear and facial hair up and out of the way while eating or drinking.

Worked great
Worked great. Our dog had blood in her ears from shaking them. Good Velcro, very easy to put on and use and kept together well. Good value for the money. Not the cutest but itâs not supposed to be

Effective Calming AidâInitial Adjustment Period, but Worth It
The Dog Happy Hoodie seems to help calm my senior dog down. Initially, he tries to remove it for the first 20 to 30 minutes, but eventually, it does seem to have a calming effect. We donât use it frequently, but it has been beneficial when we do.

Thick cloth, strong elastic
I was honestly a bit surprised at how thick the cloth is and how strong the elastic is. Given the price, I thought it would be something that would wear out quickly, but it’s a very well made product.I bought it for my friend’s spaniel, whose ears are always sopping wet after a walk. I got an M (according to the size charts) and an L (she is on the big side) and both are too tight for her liking. ie, she lets us put it on but she’s a little sad about it, then she forgets about it until about the 3/4 mile mark. Around then, it has ridden down so that the front edge is against her throat and pressing there, so she either wants it readjusted or taken off (which we do).It works great to keep the tips of her ears from straggling around and getting super wet. I tried some other elasticized headbands and headwarmers but they didn’t work as well. The one that worked the best at keeping her ears up and close to her body so they were away from all the wet grass & leaves was this Happy Hoodie. Re: the tightness/comfort aspect, it seems like snoods are usually used by groomers or to calm a sound-sensitive dog, aka not out on a walk when the dog is exerting themselves, so my use-case is a little out of spec. The product picture of the hound with the blue snood is representative, it really fits that tight on their heads. I can’t take any stars off for a product that does what it’s supposed to do (keep her ears back) and overall I think this is a good tool, I will just modify it a bit and sew in a panel of knit fabric to loosen it up a bit so we can keep using it on her walks.

It works, kinda, sorta…
This “over-the-head” ear muff fits comfortably over our skittish family dog’s head. It appears to muffle some, but not all, of the effects of thunder or fireworks. Our pet seems to suffer no ill effects from the band being too tight. She doesn’t appear to mind wearing it at all. When thunder is at a distance she appears to ignore it and stay calm but a rousing storm nearby or overhead apparently isn’t kept at bay by The Happy Hoodie and our pooch isn’t happy at all. Firecrackers are still a nuisance when they are fairly close by even with the protection of the muff. If we can hear them, she can still hear them. On the upside, she doesn’t appear to be bothered much by overhead fireworks displays now.At best I will say that this does help but does not completely solve the problems of thunder and fireworks. If you are in an area with frequent rumbling storms this might be a helpful accessory to have on hand. If you are in a neighborhood where firecrackers are a nuisance, the effects of this hoodie are probably going to be hit or miss.

Great value
After viewing many different head coverings for our springer spaniel ( Basically needed it just to keep his ears clean while eating) I began to think they were all the same and why was I going crazy looking for the âperfect oneâ I decided that I would look for something that was not expensive at all and still had positive reviews and this was the one⦠there is no need to spend a great deal of money a product like this⦠The covering is soft, it fits well. It serves the purpose, and I would definitely order another one if needed.

Not bad, but be careful!
My dog has chronic ear infections, and has had 2 hematomas, one on each ear.He is a semi-large pit-dane (70-80 lbs).He was an ear flapper before hematomas, and remains one after. So, in order for him to not blow out his ears I got this to help hold them down.So a couple of things to note:1) They will still flap, and some MIGHT try and paw at it, so pay attention to your pet. Flapping with this one, nothing will move if they don’t paw at it incessantly. Its decently tight, and offers ear support.2) It is soft and stretchy, so easy to get around most dog heads, its almost like a head-sock in that way.3) Most important one to me: If your dog CURRENTLY has an ear infection, or has had surgery… you WILL need to CLEAN REGULARLY. This device will not dry the inside of your dog’s ears, so covering it up will keep it icky if left with moisture. If its gunky-infection it may be difficult to use this. It will get crusted up easily and youll have to wash it. If you leave it in too long the crush will make it stick to their fur and make it gross as well as uncomfortable to remove later.I would recommend some supervised Air-Dry time several times a day, or a cone instead if its a recent surgery or gunky ear infection. Now, if your dog does NOT get ear infections, and just is a flapper/ear scratcher this would probably work very well without much worry. Just clean ears regularly, wash this when it gets covered in hair or dander to prevent likelihood of creating an infection using it.I wouldnt say they are noise cancelling, though maybe noise dampening. Some dogs might find relief from it, some might find discomfort. Depends on the dog.I can see the use from this product, but it did not work for my purposes unfortunately. No fault of the product I feel, It just did not fit my needs. Just think about it a minute, and be willing to take a loss if its not for your dog.

Ayudó mucho a mi perra con el sonido de los cohetes.

Si funciona, las primeras veces mi perro intentaba quitársela pero ahora que sabe que con eso escucha menos ruido, la soporta.

I bought a medium for my GSP and it fits perfectly, snug but not tight. The dog doesn’t seem to mind wearing it and she can hear some things but it certainly appears that its muted to a degree. She used to bark and stress out whenever she heard fireworks. With this on, she was sooo much more calm and able to relax and even sleep with this on along with music playing in the background. I’m so happy to help her cut her anxiety. I’m going to have her groomer try it on her too during her next appointment. Thank you!

We use this cover for our frenchieâs ears during bath time and when we go hunting. Our dogâs ears are floppy (they donât stand upright like normal frenchies) so itâs very comfortable for him to wear. He never tries to take it off. It stops water getting in his ears when weâre bathing him, which is huge because the is prone to ear infections. It dries quickly. It also offers good noise protection when weâre shooting, he never reacts to the noise when he has this on.
