The Black is REALLY Black!! Recommended by an artist.
Guys these pens are amazing! I’m an artist who hates to paint. I know that’s a contradiction, but it’s true. I love to draw though! I was struggling to get some paintings finished (I got bored with them) when I thought I’d try paint pens – a combination of painting and drawing, right? With crossed fingers I bought these after doing some research. I already had a couple of random paint pens from ‘the other guys’ I’d used to sketch with and lay down outlines, but they weren’t amazing and they were hard to use. However when I tried the Tooli pens I was really impressed! First of all the tips (I got all Xtra Fine) are very nice, firm, pointy, can get good detail. Very responsive. Love that they send extras! The ink flows smoothly and isn’t blotchy or blobby at all (at least not yet, we will see after I use them for a while.) But what really blew me away was the colors. The black is REALLY BLACK! The ‘other guys’ black is about the same level as the Tooli dark gray! I mean this is super India Ink color black, really beautiful. Other colors are vivid and stay wet just long enough that you can bring in another color and blend quite well. Note that if you puddle two different colors together they will instantly combine, kind of like water colors. Be prepared for that quick bleed. I recommend these to artists who want to doodle on canvas; works great!!

    Smooth ink, Beautiful pigments
I’ve bought every color set of Tooliart Paint Pens. I use them exclusively for my ceramic tiles. Great coverage, beautiful pigments and huge variety of colors. Just as good as Posca for half the price. I’ve never gotten a dud. Consistently excellent product.

    Nice markers
I bought these because they were recommended with a color by numbers book I was getting. The first picture I started on the colors didn’t match despite the tops looking like they would. I got the earth set and some of them were better matches but it was to late. The markers are very good they come with directions and extra nibs which is great! I’d get them again now knowing that you should swatch them and let them dry before deciding if it’s the color you actually want because the top and the back of the box aren’t great references. I think a swatch chart would be great as something to come along with the markers but you can always DIY it.

I don’t ever write review products, but these pens are insanely good quality.
I originally ordered these to draw/paint on canvas shoes. They work perfectly for that. What I didn’t expect to find was versatility in their use on paper as well. I’m now able to actually color my sketches with ample, and most importantly, EVEN, color. Even if you accidentally apply a bit too much in one spot, it’s not obvious at all; the volume just just evens out on it’s own.I own another set of markers from Tooli-Art, and they are also great. But, they are regular markers, so I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered these ones. I can honestly say I am extremely happy I just went for it and bought them, I’ll be using these for a long time.Side note: Color selection is also wonderful, especially compared with other sets of paint pens from different brands. I browsed for a long time before deciding on these, and many other sets seem to either: only contain extremely bright/obnoxious colors you’re likely to never use, have too many metallics/neon/glow in the dark, etc. This set has all the basic colors you need, as well as subtle colors I’ve personally not found in other sets (like a true assortment of blues, realistic skin tones, and various other delicate colors). Also, comes with 2 sets of black and white pens instead of just 1, which is really nice.

    Absolutely loveee for fine details
They work great on wood and I have used them to outline murals as well. Very cost effective and comparative to my Poscas.

Used for the Warrior Cat Minis
The markers are really vibrant and dry fast. They do leak/bleed a tiny bit when you first push down on them but that’s to be expected when using liquid pen paints. These are the ones that kept being suggested through google and I’m glad I got to try them out.I am so happy with how the colors turned out too because they start out dark but dry light, so if you want it darker you’ll have to go over it at least once more.

    My new favorite paint pen
Paint pens have come a long way over recent years, and there is a lot more out there than there used to be. I’ve tried many. These ones are the absolute best so far. Tooli really sets you up for success. The pens are well made and easy to use, but they also include detailed instructions for use, care, and troubleshooting, as well as extra “just in case” nibs. I am a full time working artist and I’ve used these hard so far, following all instructions. They have been absolutely perfect. The couple of times I tried to use and the tip seemed clogged, I just pull the nib out and submerge it in water, rubbing at it a bit to clean it. Pop it back in the pen and scribble a bit to get the water out and the ink running through it again, and works perfectly again. I like these so well, i’ve purchased 2 more sets. I wouldn’t mind eventually owning them all!

Good value for money. I was lucky to stumble across these at over half price. Had I paid full price I would have sent them back because of the simple fact they are by far the most stubborn, stiff paint having markers I’ve ever used. I suspect they had been sitting on a pallet some where out of view without moving for a very long time. I’m thinking years here, not weeks or months. I have some old original 1mm Mol***ws from over a decade ago still unused that I can shake up within 2 minutes and have ready to use. I shook that dang marker for over an hour and I could only get the nib to show a little for but now paint coverage like these hard dine nib style ones need. The bearing inside would keep getting stuck in what I assume is the settled paint, which is not new to me, but it just refused to loosen up after relentless abuse. I eventually went to an old device I put together to mix some ancient enamel from the 80s which fits in the chuck of my 20V drill. I also have a 18″ tube that I insert old pens then close off the ends and use it like a slide whistle with the marker violently smacking into the closed off ends as I swing it. just some ideas on ways to break up the stubborn clay like paint that some markers get. I do really like the markers after getting the paint fully blended and the pen functioning as it’s should. The paint distribution system, while still the normal, typical style, has a nice feel to it so I can add just small amounts of paint while still maintaining a solid stroke by applying a little pressure. The mechanism is unusually long ( I took it apart lol) and glides smooth with the velvety paint I was able to make a continuous line all around the page for an astounding distance before giving up beleiving it would go on until it ran dry, which I found really cool for such a hard nib. Too often with other markers I’ve had to stop and pump out more paint on a seperate sheet to get full tilt again. not these. so if you are patient and have good shaking endurance then get these. Just look for em on sale because jeez that apparent list price is asking a lot for something relatively unknown and certainly not recognized as a premium product IMO even though they perform very nice if you can get them going

I usually use poscas but someone recommended these. Very easy to use, make sure surface is dry and clean. The pack comes with extra nibs. I will definitely be buying more.

Bin mit den Stiften super gut zufrieden. Sie sind zwar teuer, aber nicht vergleichbar mit anderen, bisher von mir benutzten Stiften. Tolle Farben, guter farbfluss und gute deckkraft.
