Great budget alternative
$30 for 121 markers is a great price! That is a third of the cost of Ohuhu markers and a tenth of the cost (or less) than Copics. So the fact that I could relax and color a picture with these and really enjoy the end product is awesome! For this price they are definitely worth five stars. None of them were dry, the cap color matches the actual ink color pretty well, and they were comfortable in my hand. I added a pic to show their size compared to the others so youâll see that they are about the same size as the Ohuhus. They have a chisel tip on one end and a bullet nib on the other. The tip of the chisel is nice and small even so you can get pretty detailed lines with that end. And the bullet side was able to get into little nooks and crannies. I was pleased with the color selection with the only drawback being low on lighter skin tones and purples. But if you like to color flowers you are totally set with all the vibrant colors and the selection of greens is fantastic. I was equally impressed with the several different tones of grays included. For a light skin tone I think you could base with WG2 and then use 107 on top. But again I would have preferred to see more lighter skin tones included especially since there are four or five sets of colors that are extremely close to each other. It would be nice if they would drop one of the real close colors like 51 or 52 and 8 or 9 to add a few more skin tones. So if you plan on coloring a lot of portraits you might want to grab an extra set of skin tones from another maker. I also found that these seemed to blend pretty well especially when using the chisel end. Iâm not the most experienced alcohol marker user so those with more skill would probably be able to blend even better than I did on the tulip petals. I would really really recommend these for children or those that are not going to try for a lot of realism. If thatâs the look youâre after I would definitely recommend something with a brush tip because of the ease of feathering two colors together to get a smoother blend. But if you just want to sit down and color in a coloring book I think these are fantastic! They will be great for laying a base color and then shading with colored pencils especially! If thatâs your type of coloring then I think Copics or even Ohuhu markers are kind of overkill. These would be perfect for someone just starting out or for those on a budget. I hope to see this company come out with a brush tip and more colors. That would make them an even better bargain in my opinion!

Wow! What a Set of Markers
When I opened this Amazon order, I was amazed at the weight and number of pens. This set of 121 markers weighs 4 pounds, 10 ounces! Thatâs a lot of choices and a vast array of color shades. This is not the standard selection of markers, usually numbering a dozen or so. This set comes in a zipper case that resembles a nylon lunch bag/box. Itâs well constructed, has a durable zipper, and the seams are reinforced. The handle on top is also secure and the stitching is reinforced as well. Given the number of pens and weight of this set, itâs a welcomed addition to this product.The markers are fairly largeâ5 1/2 inches long and 2 1/8 inches around. Unlike most markers Iâve used that are round, these are square, so when you lay them down, they wonât roll off the table. This set has the basic array of primary colors with as many as a dozen different shades of each color. Interestingly, they are all slightly different. The saving grace is each marker has a number on the cap, so if you stop in the middle of a project, notate the number of the pen you were using. Neither memory nor sight is going to help. Thatâs just how close some of the shades are, but still different enough to mess up your work.Each pen has a chiseled point (like a standard-sized permanent marker) and a much finer point on the other end. Both ends are visually marked so you can easily tell which end youâre uncapping. These pens are quite a find, but do have drawbacks. They do smell of alcohol (as advertised), and they bleed through to the underlying sheet, making them less useful for intricate art projects or adult coloring books.If youâre looking for a lot of markers with a wide variation of shades of the same hue, this may be just what youâre looking for. They are a bit pricey, but if you need 121 markers in pastel shades, it may be perfect for your needs.
