    Great Quality
These are really great slippers, and my mom loves them. One small issue she has, however, is the toe area is a bit snug due to her toes being a bit deformed and crossing over each other (something I didn’t think about or look into when purchasing these for her).

    Very Heavy Shoes
These shoes are nearly perfect. They are made well. They are great for adjusting them for edema, even severe edema (swelling). The straps are in the right places. My issue with them is the weight. They are heavy and I feel like I walk like Herman Munster in them. If they would put a lightweight sole on these shoes they would be absolutely perfect. Those of us who have edema in our feet and legs already carry around a lot of weight. We feel like we have a cinder block tied to each leg so we need the lightest pair of shoes we can find that will not rub wounds and does not weigh a lot. Heavy shoes cause wounds. Edema means we have a lot of excess fluid. That fluid is heavy in our feet and legs and it’s difficult to lift our feet without shoes and when we have a heavy pair such as these makes it more difficult to walk. Sixteen ounces equals a pound. Many of us easily carry ten pounds or more of edema in each leg. The material could stand to be a tiny bit softer as well but at the same time have stability to hold your feet in place. I hope the seller sees this review and will act accordingly with their shoemaker. Diabetics can develop wounds anywhere on their feet, so seams must be smooth and not rub. The sides of shoes must be smooth as well as around the tops of the shoes. If possible, we need a lightweight sole that will bend easily yet be sturdy when we walk in them. I realize this is a tall order for a shoemaker, but these are absolute musts for the diabetic or those with neuropathy. We spend hundreds and hundreds of wasted dollars trying to find the “right” shoe to fit our needs and no two people have the same issues. With that said, a few minor adjustments and these would be the perfect shoe for most of us. Shoe makers for diabetics should consult those of us who have a lot of experience with wounds and neuropathy and then they could make the right shoes and make a ton of money. They could even tweak a few pairs to fit every diabetic and it wouldn’t be that difficult to do.

    Really disappointing
These slippers are supposed to be good for diabetics and people with edema. Well, the slippers feel like they are made of very heavy weight cardboard covered with a scratchy fabric, totally unbendable, not at all soft and comfy. It took both hands to open the “easy closure” flap, the inside seams of are big and stiff and rub uncomfortably, not nice and flat as one would expect, and the footbed is lumpy. There is nothing soft inside the slippers. I can’t be the only one to complain about this. And to top it all off, I ordered a size 9 double ex-wide and got a size 10. Terrible.

    Silvert’s adaptive shoes/slippers
I love these shoes/slippers!I have a disability and use a power chair or manual chair everyday. However, in 2023, I was diagnosed with Lymphedema of the ankles. Doctor’s originally thought my swelling was caused by the buildup of water. However water pills did not work. Then I found out my problem was due to my lymph node system. This problem cannot be solved using water pills. At the time of my diagnosis, I could not comfortably fit into regular shoes. I was going out of town in 2 months. First the doctor’s had to reduce the swelling in my ankles. Then the doctors told me I could not wear regular shoes because the lymph nodes swelling was going to last the rest of my life.I was desperate to find a pair of shoes that didn’t look like slippers. Also I needed these shoes to accommodate my varying swelling. Some days my feet are very small and other days my feet are very large.I needed something easy and hassle free. I love theseshoes/slippers. I’ve been wearing these about 10 months. The only real problem I have with these shoes is on occasion but not always my foot will slide sideways and I have a hard time putting the shoe flat to prevent sliding.( my foot is flat inside the shoe but the shoe goes sideways.,)This is even in a sitting position. I’ve also read some reviews talking about the velcro closure being not very secure. I usually have to adjust my shoes with velcro due to the swelling. Usually once in the morning and once in the afternoon. However after wearing these shoes for almost a year, I can tell you even with these minor issues my shoes have never fallen off my feet unless I’m trying to take them off.I am actually planning on buying a second pair in a different color. I love the shoes!

    A gift for mom
I purchased these for my mom who has Alzheimers and Dementia. Her feet are often swollen as well and every time I would visit her either she wasn’t in shoes or she squeezed her foot in something tight. These are great! She’s able to adjust then depending on the swolleness of her feet for the day. The color is nice (I got her the pink/rose colored ones and she says they are comfortable. She’s had them on every time I see her. So she must be liking them.

Strange fit for supposedly orthopedic slippers
These are the worst slippers I’ve ever purchased. First if all, they are not brand new, they’ve been worn and have dirty spots on both slippers. Secondly, they have a very very strange toe box. It’s very narrow, and unfortunately, I’m unable to get my my toes to fit in the toe box. It’s a shame because I’m unable to wear them. They were expensive and I have no way to return them because I’m homebound due to a disability. Please be careful if you order them. They may not be what you thought. For me, I’m out over $50, and I’m very unhappy.
