Good quality
It’s just a tape dispenser right? Well, yes. However, there are important differences. This dispenser has some weight to it so you don’t have to pick it up to tare off a piece of tape. If something knocks into it, it doesn’t skid across my desk, hit the floor, and brake. It also has a non skid bottom for one handed use. I can reach over, tare off a piece of tape, and the dispenser stays in place. If you use a lot of tape during your day these things matter. It is also super quick and easy to change out an empty roll. Who wants to waste time on something that should be simple, right? If for some reason it does fall to the floor, it will not break! It will leave a mark on a wood or laminate floor. But the dispenser will be fine, hahaha.

Compact and sturdy
After knocking my old tape dispenser to the floor, it broke with sand spilling out. I love the compact shape of this new dispenser, which is a bit shorter and narrower than the old one. This item seems sturdy, but time will tell.

It’s small and doesn’t take up much space
This tape dispenser is smaller than the ones Iâve had on my office desk in past decades. It measures 5-¾ inches long by 2 inches wide. I like that it doesnât take up much space on my desk. It does not come with a roll of tape. After I received this, I found the identical product at Target for $4.99 with a roll of Scotch tape included. [Just sayin’…..]

The product is almost exactly as described. Same shape as the picture, good sharp teeth for easier use, it can indeed be used with one hand, extremely easy to load, and it’s definitely a more attractive design than the plastic thing that comes with most scotch tape.Interesting thing though, when you SHAKE the dispenser, you hear a sort of “swishing” inside it. I think it might be full of sand, as a cheap way to make the dispenser heavy enough so that it doesn’t slide around on the desk. This isn’t a complaint, it’s just something I noticed.
