Works great
I have tried other battery operated letter openers that stop working after a few months because they get jammed. It fits into your hand and easy to hold to open the letter. This one is well made and designed so it can be fully opened to clean out any paper jams. Itâs reliable and works great!

Shoddy product, though great while it worked
Update 10 weeks later: Completely dead, and no support from Amazon — they don’t make it easy to request support request from the seller. After some struggling with Amazon, I did reach the seller, and they were quick to immediately offer a replacement. Given their positive attitude, its a pity Amazon doesn’t make it easier to follow up on products that fail after the return period.Original review while it still worked:I hate trying to open all the bills and other mail I get without tearing the contents. With this little gadget, you can open everything in no time flat, with no tearing, mess, or risk of paper cuts. Works perfectly and doesn’t cost enough to have to justify it as a luxury.

UPDATEIâm very impressed with the customer service of the Seller. Anyone can get a random defective item, but a Seller who promptly makes it right is to be commended. I can recommend this product and Seller.This letter opener is difficult to open to insert batteries. The battery compartment is so small it is difficult to insert a battery completely. It’s like the opening is just a hair too short and you spend a while working the battery to get it in. Also, it’s great when it works, which is about 2 or 3 envelopes at a time. Then it either jams with a tiny piece of paper or quits working completely. I have to constantly struggle to open the compartment and mess with the batteries before it works again. Last night I worked on it quite a while and have not been able to get it working again. Sadly, I came on Amazon this morning to return it and I missed the return date by ONE day! A complete waste of $27! I had an electric letter opener previously that last for years. This one is a huge disapointment.
