My little rescue dog loves these treats. No adverse effects, either.
We have a small 10 pound rescue chiweenie that simply will not allow us to brush her teeth. She will eat almost anything but she completely hates the canine toothpastes so we decided to offer the Greenies and she loves them. They are not 100% effective at improving her breath, but they do offer a method to help her dental hygiene, a real issue for small dogs, and hopefully the combination of the Greenies with a variety of other kinds of chews and Aquadent added to her water can help her maintain good dental hygiene. Years ago I lost a 3 year old dog who died from the effects of the anesthesia during a dental cleaning so I never want to have to put a dog through that risk again.All in all, Greenies have a good track record, they cause my dog no adverse effects at all, the price has been reasonable and my dog loves the taste. I will be continuing to provide these treats to our young dog.

My Cats & Dogs Love Greenies – Vets Recommend
I have 2 cats and a small dog. They all love the greenies. Every night they come up for bed and all 3 go to their specific places and wait for their greenies treats. My dog is a small breed mix, approx. 12 lbs, 10 years old. Her teeth stay in good condition with these treats. She would probably be happier with the next size up however they are still a little more costly so we stick with these little ones. The vets highly recommend the greenies for cats and dogs. I feel good knowing they are getting treats they enjoy that are actually good for them too! Happy babies, happy mom!
