Cool Activity!
This is a really cool activity/toy. It comes with more than just the moon globe and paint! There is also the space powder and a mold to make 6 figures you can also paint. I love that it comes with an apron and the arm shields for the kid painting to help with mess. I like that it also came with the temporary tattoos. Very cool, with so much all combined into one box. My globe had a couple dents, which is a little sad, but kids probably won’t care or notice. Overall for the price, I think this is a great item!

Very fun kit; good value.
So much fun in this kit for the two grandsons ages 8 and 5yrs. Both boys painted the moon nightlight; one painted one side and one painted the other. For making refrigerator magnets, the kit contains a bag of powdered plaster mix with detailed instructions on correctly mixing the plaster. It reiterates a step in the instruction to make sure the user understands, which is what I needed, for I hadn’t worked with plaster before. I’m so glad it emphasized just what to do. The ml of water it calls for is not a US measurement, but ml is included on my liquid measuring cup, as I’m sure it is on all measuring cups. I mixed half the bag of plaster in the little mixing bowl provided with 50 ml (a little less than 1/4 cup) of water and stirred with a craft popsicle stick, not the flimsy stick included in the kit. As they emphasize the importance of NOT washing plaster down the drain, they provided disposable utensils. The little mixing bowl will only hold half the bag of powder, and I’m glad I did only mix half, for I waited a second too long to start pouring it into the molds, and it began to thicken to the unmanageable stage, so I really had to scramble. The instructions say 3 – 5 minutes of stirring until the mixture is like a paste, then pour into the molds. Mine was like pancake batter, so I kept stirring, and then, BAM! It started to set in the bowl, just as the instructions warned it would. Next time, I’ll pour the molds while in the pancake batter stage. Half the bag of powder filled four molds, as per picture posted. The boys had fun observing that process, and couldn’t wait for the next day to paint their molds. Lastly, we will apply the sticky magnets provided and stick them to the fridge. Also included in the kit are several sheets of washable tatoos. Painting the moon and making refrigerator magnets were such fun projects; I so highly recommend this if you have the inclination to do the plaster molds. Your kids would so enjoy all of this kit.

It’s cool
Its cool but it has room to be better. It does at says. It’s battary operated and I just feel like these kind of things should all be rechargeable now. Light weight. I wish the light was brighter or adjustable. Just cause of the layer of paint reduces brightness and I think some effects can be achieved.

Cute craft!
This is so adorable, and perfect for younger kids! My little loved painting and getting to put a unique touch on their moon lamp. My only complaint is that the paint dulls the light inside, but other than that, it’s a fun little craft!

Lights don’t work and denting in packaging
So the moon lights overall as a craft are a great kid friendly idea. The kids loved it as a birthday craft. However, upon opening Amazon box, 1 moon box was ripped open and items were falling out. That moon had a dint in it that wasn’t supposed to be there. I thought ok this will be ok. Then we opened the others. Dents in all of them. Some bigger than others. 2 of the moons lights didn’t work out of 3. So a bit disappointed I would not have got these if we wanted to just paint an item. There were extras included yes but the moon painting and it lighting up was the perk. And that didn’t happen.

So fun!
This was a lot of fun to do with our preteen. It was only mildly messy, and the end result is a beautiful moon lamp! She definitely dropped it and it didn’t get damaged, although I wouldn’t recommend it. This lamp is beautiful and our daughter loves it. Very good value and great gift potential.

Our kids love crafts and I don’t love supervising them doing a bunch of crafts so they often to low-key low-mess crafts. When I saw this Goodyking Paint Your Own Soccer Ball Lamp Kit though, I knew they would love it so I made an exception to my low-mess/low-involvement in crafts rule. My 8 year old made this kit and was easily able to do all the decorating themselves. They’re also a sports enthusiast so this was a nice combination of art and sport for them. There was enough paint to cover it and enough options to customize it, and I like that it came with everything you need to get it going. When complete, the light shone brightly and it was a super exciting feeling for my kid to see their hard work complete and usable. It was also satisfying as a parent to have something they could use their art for and not just in a frame. My one criticism is that there were no instructions with our kit and so we had to figure out what to do and how to set up the base ourselves. Also, this would make a great crafty birthday gift as it’s fun, creative, and practical.

My grandson will be 4 very soon and loves his football. I’ve got this as a gift for xmas. He has trouble sleeping so needs a night light, I’m hoping this does the trick. Looking at the parts for this I’m sure he’s going to love it. Loads of options for customising just the way he wants. Can’t wait for him to open this at Xmas.

I got this DIY 3D Football Night Light with Stickers & Stand for my nephew. However, my son and my nephew both worked on this as they are avid soccer fans. I already have gotten this previously from a different seller for my son last year and let’s say this keeps the kiddos engaged. They love trying various options since the kit comes with sponge brushes, two sizes of paintbrushes, 12 paint colors (with two palettes). It also comes with brown stand to hold the lamp.It requires 3 LR44 batteries and this is where my pet peeve comes, why not make it rechargeable like most gadgets are these days? Once the battery is gone, good luck buying batteries and keeping the lights on. However, it is a minor inconvenience which gets drowned in the power of imagination and creativity. The night lamp painted by the kids will not be professional looking, rather, it would be their own work of art which they will remember for times to come. On that aspect, I do definitely recommend.

My grandson is a football obsessive and I ordered this for him to have something to do at the start of the summer holidays. He really enjoyed painting it with us so in that regard it’s a good product. The stand was a little fiddly to put together, but that’s more or less the only real issue with it. The photos make it look a lot simpler than it is, but the transfers help to cover up any messes and mistakes. You get a decent selection of paint colours, however it’s worth noting that they’re in tiny little pots. The picture on the listing shows a ball painted mostly orange, however there’s nowhere near that amount of a single paint colour in the box.It comes with a battery installed and you have to remove a little plastic isolator tab in order to switch it on. It appears to be one of the small button cell type batteries as the compartment is tiny and screwed shut. As a consequence the light it produces isn’t especially bright: then again it’s more to show off the colours of the artist rather than anything else.It weighs very little as it’s mostly opaque plastic so it’s not going to be rolling on to the floor and smashing very easily. My grandson was happy with the finished product and it gave us a morning’s entertainment, so I’d recommend it for the little footballer in your life.

Another great idea to engage your kids with crafting. The soccer ball was a hit and paints/brushes included work very well (seconds might be needed). And the stickers are a great finishing touch! Very impressed with this project for kids. Great idea!
