Nice brush!
The bristles are actually a little stiffer and Ć¢ĀĀpokierĆ¢ĀĀ than I was expecting for a toddler brush, but my toddler seems to actually not mind it. So, we like it! Good quality and brushes nicely! Comes with a little cover for the bristles while you arenĆ¢ĀĀt using it as well. IĆ¢ĀĀd recommend it.

What magic is this?!
My 3 year old daughter has long wavy hair, but is also very fine. She HATES having her hair brushed. You would think I was exercising a banshee out of her by the way she screams. I have used many “detangle” brushes and tried many different detanglers and leave in conditioners to help untangle her hair. She would scream no matter what I used. The first time I tried this brush was after a bath. I was able to brush her hair with NO banshee screams. My husband was just as shocked when we came our the bathroom and her hair was brushed. I have not tried the brush alone with no other product. All the products I use to brush her hair have been used with other brushes so I know she is not screaming because the brush is actually detangling the hair. I love that I can brush her hair without my ear drums bursting and without the feeling that I’m wrestlin’ a gator to get her to stand still long enough for me to brush her hair.When I opened the brush and felt the plastic bristles, I thought there was no way this would work. When I brushed my hair with it I was again discouraged because it felt hard against my scalp. I was pleasantly surprised when she stood there and let me brush her hair with no crying, no screaming and no trying to run away. You will not be disappointed. I have included a picture of her hair needing to be brushed so you have an idea of what the magic brush had to go through.

“WOW” is the word that comes to mind. Great for adults too!! I’ve come to conclusion that there is no “perfect magic brush” for my hair type. Just some that are better than others and I’ve tried most of them. This brush stands out above and beyond the rest. I’m a male with very very long hair (down to my backside, with mixed hair type 3a & 3b). My hair catches a lot of lint, and tangles very easily. Actually the more my hair tangles (not knots) the better my curls, curl. This is why I don’t brush it often. I find that even with the best “detangler brushes” my hair still gets ripped out or snapped off short grrr. To cut down on frizz I only wash my hair every so often, and brush it even less. Well I came across this brush and thought “it’s worth a try, if it works on kids it should be very comfortable and work for me”. I received it in a couple days (on time) and I immediately opened and used it. I was surprised and relieved that the brush does not have a “rubber like brushhead and bristles” which it kind of resembled to me in the pictures. The brush is more like hard plastic, this doesn’t mean they are stiff, though the outside comb is stiff but for a good reason. The inside IS flexible. I Started at the bottom and went very slowly to work out my many tangles and knots that have built up over the last week or so, then moved up and up to the scalp. “Ahhh” were the words coming from my mouth. The larger outside tines do act like my wide tooth comb to guide the hair through it, and in very tangled areas I try to use just the side (comb part) until the tangles are relived then I use more of the main brush to help smooth out. On a side note this brush also did not cause my hair to frizz up as much as other brushes do. Took me about 20 minutes (it was very tagled as I couldn’t decide what brush to buy and desperately needed a new one). I did do this brushing dry, only because I really wanted to put it to the test…. and it passed with flying colors!!! The brush DID NOT grab, tug or pull unless I went too fast, which would have happened with any brush or comb on dry tangled hair. It also did not rip my hair out instead just removed the loose hairs that were tangled in. The brush felt so good going through my thick mop & massaging my scalp lol. I do feel that with wet hair, and/or detangler, and/or with some added oil (I like coconut oil) that this brush would make easy work of even the tuffest, most messy, knotted up hair. If it can work on my dry 40 inch long hair (measured from forehead hairline swept back to bottom tips) , well it definitely will work for majority of people out there. I Can’t wait to try in the shower on wet conditioned hair (How I usually brush my hair). All the best and good luck with those curls… and to FRIDA a big happy THANK YOU from a satisfied customer.

The blue bristles are a little too prickly and I wish it had hand grips
IĆ¢ĀĀm a big fan of Frida products so when my 22 month old started having severely knotted hair every morning, I ordered a bunch of stuff to tackle her tangles. ItĆ¢ĀĀs very sturdy. ItĆ¢ĀĀs a full size brush which gets the job done faster. The handle is smooth plastic, I think it could be improved by adding some silicone grippers on the handle. YouĆ¢ĀĀll see in my video, there are two types of bristles, white, soft flexible ones and blue prickly ones. My daughter complained about the bristles hurting her scalp a little but it did do the trick and made quick work of the knots. I just have to be mindful of being gentle with her hair when I use it. The cover is a nice touch. Overall, I recommend it.

Omg I just had to share my experience. I received it today just in time for bath time. Let me tell you I wish i would have gotten it a long time ago. My baby now is 8 months and his hair is really curly and gets this really bad knots like if they were dreadlocks knots. Is really bad, IĆ¢ĀĀve been struggling trying to de tangled the knots for months because I didnĆ¢ĀĀt want to cut his hair. Thank God for this brush and an Aveeno de tangler spray and all the knots is out. I couldnĆ¢ĀĀt believe it when finally his hair was knotless. Totally recommend the brush, my baby didnĆ¢ĀĀt even cry.

I usually love Frida Baby products, but this detangler brush was a major letdown. It’s super rough on my toddler’s curly hair, and it actually caused more tears than it prevented. Not worth it, unfortunately.

Best brush IĆ¢ĀĀve ever owned for my naturally curly hair
I am so happy with this hair brush! My curly hair looks so much better with actual coils instead of stringy ringlets or frizzy waves. People at work have asked if IĆ¢ĀĀve gotten a perm even though they know I have curly hair. I separate my hair into sections and brush it while itĆ¢ĀĀs damp with product in it. Then I let it air dry. I used to diffuse my hair with a very fancy diffuser and my hair looks great that way, but air drying after using this brush keeps the coils in tact longer. I can go all week without having to wash my hair and I donĆ¢ĀĀt lose any curl. I am disappointed that after dropping the brush two of the white bristles snapped off. But thatĆ¢ĀĀs my fault and not the brushĆ¢ĀĀs. It still works!
