Much better than expected
I got this for coin collecting, it works great! I honestly wasn’t expecting much. This was one of the first ones that popped up in my search, so I kept looking at other versions but the reviews on them were pretty questionable. So eventually I finally came back to this one, and I’m glad I did! The price was like 35 bucks I think? It’s definitely worth that. The couple of bad reviews on it we’re just people who didn’t take the time to figure out how to work it properly. It’s pretty self-explanatory to use, it doesn’t come with an SD card, but you can add one later supposedly, you just have to format it. This works plugged in or unplugged, and the charge seems to last quite a while, couple hours. Not bad for a screen and a light running Non-Stop. The light is adjustable from dim to pretty bright, enough for my needs. It takes a c charger like my cell phone so that’s cool.You can actually remove the screen with the magnifying glass part and carry it around and use it wherever without the mount which is kind of neat. The mount is pretty light, and the knobs are plastic, so it’s not like professional grade or anything, but it’s perfect for what I need it for. I don’t feel like it’s going to break, but I’m not going to be throwing it around or anything.It seems like the clarity is really good, I kind of jerry-rigged mine so that I can put it up higher. I put some electrical tape underneath the camera adjustment knob and screwed down the mount to it , which raises it another three or four inches in height and shows me more of the coin if I would like. Then to drop it down there’s a different knob in the back which takes you as close to the coin as I would like. Honestly it works really well.I should also say I’ve had this thing for about a month now. I have yet to be disappointed, of course I haven’t tried the SD card feature yet because I have no need. Can’t help you with any advice there, sorry!I recommend this whatever it’s called, microscope screen thing.

Excellent for the price
I was looking at an invasive plant I found in my area and it does a great job. I will say that it does shake a bit when trying to adjust while looking at something closely but that is to be expected. It is easy to setup (took me 60 second maybe). All the parts fit nicely. The best part is it’s rechargeable so you can bring it with you on whatever adventures you choose. You will need your own SD card if you want to save pictures on the device. I’ll update this if something goes wrong.

Wow, what a great little microscope!
I’ve had a similar one for a few years with a USB 2.0 connector. It started failing after a few years so I decided to give this one a go. Wasn’t sure initially. Needed it to look at some x50-x60 stuff. I am definitely very happy with what arrived today. I think it has enough light, enough magnification for my needs, images, video, battery for portability, MicroSD storage (not included) or USB connector to laptop camera. Great price, great little gadget! Very happy customer!

Meets expectations but I wasn’t clear on what I needed
This was easy to set up, and seems sturdy. I haven’t used it with a computer because I don’t have Windows and don’t need to use a computer. I use it to solder SMD electrical components to PCBs. The magnification is sufficient. I wish the screen tilted because if you are at a slight angle to it, the picture isn’t clear. That means you have to have a work surface and chair that are just the right relative height. I wish it showed more of the work surface. I frequently have to move the PCB. The clips which I was initially excited about are often in the way if the workpiece is larger, or if it’s thin, the clips don’t hold the work steady. Along the same line, I wish the camera was adjustable back and forth, toward you and away from you. I wish the work surface was bigger because often the PCB I’m working on is hanging off. The base of the unit is at least half an inch thick so having something at such an angle makes it hard to work. I could always build a new base for it, but I really do wish the screen was adjustable in relation to the camera. This could be the perfect tool for you, depending on what you are doing. I was trying not to spend much money and had never had one of these before so I didn’t know what to consider when buying one.
