I’m one of the nerds that wanted a pair of 10th Doctor Who shoes…and I’m really pleased with this purchase. My mom’s cool enough that she knew I wanted them but knew I did my own research about where to buy them, so she gave me forty bucks and the go-ahead-mom-nod for my birthday present :)First of all, never buy your first pair of converse offline unless you’ve tried them on in stores before. Yes, they’re a thin material, yes, the sole is flat and not cushioned. Some people like the hi top style, and some people feel it digs into their ankles. They’re converse. Some people love them, some people don’t.The ones I got were great. Brand-spankin’ new, great color, real chucks, an extra pair of laces (which were red, and I find that a bit of an odd choice, but I really don’t care). I wear a size 8.5 in women’s and 6.5 in men’s, and converse fit me very true to size, so that’s what I ordered, and they’re perfect. Some people seem to feel they run a bit slim, but that’s why I urge you to try a pair on in stores, just for fit, before ordering your particular style/color off of any website.I highly recommend the seller. I had no problems ordering or receiving, and the shoes came a few days before expected. Love these shoes <3

I wore them for a quick 10 minute walk but the real test will be when I do a lot of walking. I am worried about no arch support when walking. I will update my review and let you know how it works out. Iâm really happy how the half sizing is very generous and not right at the edge of my big toe.

My favorite everyday shoe – goes with everything, super comfortable and cheap!
I love Chucks. They’re my favorite everyday knockabout shoe for jeans or shorts. That said, they have some peculiarities. They tend to run about a half-size big in length. At the same time, they’re kind of narrow for me. So rather than going DOWN a half-size (as most people recommend) I tend to go UP a half size, to accommodate my hobbit-like feet. I end up with about an inch of headroom at the toe, but the shoe doesn’t slide around or anything. In fact, the sidewall of the sole still ends up separating from the canvas at the ball of my foot, long before the shoes are worn out. Oh well. I’ve grown accustomed to it. The trade-off is, (at least for me) it’s almost like going barefoot.I wouldn’t want to run a mile in them, but they’re plenty comfy to wear all day. I tend to look for sales because $50 is a bit high for what I basically treat as a disposable shoe. But at $40 or below, they’re worth every penny.Oh, and if you want arch support, throw in an insert. I moved the inserts from a fancy-pants pairs of Chucks over to a pair of slip-ons, and I have to admit, it’s pretty nice. There are plenty of reviews here on amazon to direct you.

LOVE my Chucks
I love my converse all stars, my chucks. I have flat feet, no arch what so ever, so arches supports hurt my feet, I look for flat shoes. I can wear these all day and I do. I use to buy wide width, I don’t have to do that with my chucks. I love the options I have with my chucks. This is my 4th pair. I wear them every day to work with my business dress causal. I don’t wear dress shoes to work, I a jeans and trainers kind of girl. I don’t even own a pair of dress shoes.Converse are easy to wash, I toss them in my washer, hang them on the line to dry. Easy.Come is a world of colors. I even plan to make my own pair of tie dyed. Yeah I am that much of a geek.They do not run small, I wear the women’s 11 men’s/uk 9 these fit great.Honestly I started with my first pair of chucks because of Doctor Who, David Tenant wore them so I had to have a pair. My first pair was red.These are not jogging/running shoes, I would look for a good pair of gym shoes for that, but shooting b-ball, golfing, shopping, casual walking, walking the dog, going to work, running errands, they are awesome.So this is pair 4 for me, I have a dozen more on my wish list. I am to Chucks what other women are to heels and girly shoes.
