I love this beautiful little orange plastic magicalShusher! It’s been a life saver and my baby loves it and falls a sleep to it shortly after it is turned on. She’s six months old and has been sleeping with it since day one and the sound relaxers her and as soon as she hears it start “shushing” it cues her it’s time to go to sleep.My one and only complaint is that it does not have an option to keep it on longer then 30 minutes, my baby has grown accustomed to it, so if she isn’t super sound asleep when it turns off after 30 minutes it wakes her up. Please add a forever “ON” button as an option or at least an option to keep it on for an hour.My baby was a premie and had to stay several weeks in the NICU. I had never been in a NICU before and assumed it would be super calm quiet place that you would have to whisper, well that is not the case and there are constant noises: loud beeping, alarms going off, other babies crying, and the constant sound of people talking and moving around. It amazing that the most fragile babies become immune to the sounds and get to hearing them. I wanted to bring something from home that would bring her comfort when I couldn’t be there with her and I had bought the Shusher months before of the awards it had received and the amazing reviews. I was allowed to leave it with her in her bed because it was plastic, small, didn’t need need to be plugged in, and it could easily be disinfected and cleaned. After being cleared to go home a few weeks later the noises she had become accustomed to hearing were replaced with a quiet house but when I placed the Shusher next to her it Immediately brought comfort to her because she was already conditioned to the sound which made the transition from the NICU to home a little easier.The NICU nurses loved the Shusher and saw it’s ability to calm a fussy baby. They started to show it to other nurses, doctors, and well as other NICU parents in as well as other babies parents.I love this product so much I have personally purchased a total of 3 just for myself: one stays at home in her crib, one stays in the diaper bag to be used while we are out and about, and the other one stays with her at daycare. On top of purchasing 3 for myself I have also purchased 2 more for friends as baby gifts and plan on using it as my go to baby gift.I love the sleek design, the fact it runs on batteries And I don’t have to charge it, and it’s light weight which makes it easy and portable. The Shusher that gets used the most is the one that stays at home, so far I’ve only had to replace the batteries once from the original off brand ones that came with it and 6 months later it is still running great. I recommend when replacing the batteries don’t buy off brand batteries and pay a little extra and buy the name brand batteries. It’s so easy to use and needs no thought to use it. Since 30 minutes is the longest it will go, I’ve learned you can out smart it by turning it off and on again which will reset the timer giving you another 30 minutes which makes it to where you will never miss a shush.

*edit* my sis said she used this for about a month and it just stopped working. She replaced the batteries and still nothing. Hoping we can get a replacement one. It worked GREAT up until it crapping out though. I still think it’s a great buy, just stinks that it doesn’t work anymore.I bought this for my sis, who just had her first baby last week. I bought it solely based on a blogger that I follow who said and I quote “we don’t go anywhere without it”…that’s all I needed to hear to buy it. They’ve had it for 4 days and it’s always wherever the baby is. They said it calms my nephew down when they change his diaper (pre-Shusher he would get fussy). It helps him sleep and just provides great white noise. It’s ridiculously easy to use. Three notches are for 30 min, 15 min and off, it’s basically goof-proof. The price seemed a little high for it just shooshing but I babysit and shooshing with your own mouth gets tiring after 10 or 15+ min and my mouth starts to go numb, plus you can’t talk, so this is definitely gets an A+ just for that alone. They haven’t had it long enough to give feedback on the battery life, but I think it takes batteries, and you can get them at the dollar store, so I don’t foresee that being an issue. I’m honestly debating getting one for myself, to take with me when I babysit, for my box of tricks. I also love this because it’s portable, the other huge plus, most kids I sit for have sound machines, which are great, but they stay plugged into the wall and don’t get moved around, this is light and easy to toss in a bag or place next to the car seat on a car ride.

Great but doesn’t stay on
This product is good. Helps my baby sleep or when she is fussy. The sound can be adjusted so it will give you a loud or low “shush”. Great for traveling as it is small enough to carry anywhere. There aren’t any buttons but you do have to twist it to turn it on. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t give you a timing option for how long you want it to stay on. It will die on you.
