After watching many YouTube videos about retro computers I decided to give repairing my original Macintosh. This solder works fine. No surprises.I had a big reel of multi-core solder that disappeared when we moved to a new State. THAT stuff was the best I’ve ever used. Yes, that missing multi-core solder is tainting my review of this MAIYUM 63-37.This MAIYUM 63-37 takes a bit longer to work, and is considerably more expensive. Nevertheless, it’s very good, and does the job.

I’m very much a begginer and only have a cheap iron to work with, but the solder seems to do a very serviceable job, far easier to get good joins than with the lead free sample that came with the iron. Flows well into the joins.The use of tip tinner made a big improvement too.
