FINALLY! After about 50 years I’m replacing my “Radio Shack” 25-watt soldering pencil. lol, yes, I’m that old 🙂 , should have replaced it a long time ago. Very nice works fine and what a value! Recommend it.

This is a hot item!
Got the soldering iron still in tact. I do periodic soldering around the house fixing electronics etc.This thing gets to temperature fairly quickly and contains the tips that seem to last longer than the last iron (40W) I bought. Kit comes with the basics to get you going. The rosin was kinda solid, but I’m sure it will melt OK. I don’t know I have not tried it yet, as I still have a small tub of different rosin.For the price and quality, it’s a must have (for someone like me).

Works well for wide range of joint soldering
The 60 Watt heat can handle heavy solder joints and the variable temperature control allows the heat to be reduced on small parts and circuit boards. Having a heat control, marked in Centigrade, may be unfamiliar to beginners. No information on optimal heat setting is given. Temperature regulation is good.The included solid flux and roll of tin-lead solder (no internal flux) is unusual and again my mystify beginners. While flux is essential in most soldering I don’t know why they provided it as a solid rather than a paste or liquid that could be applied to the surfaces first. Certainly, conventional rosin-core solder is best for the vast majority of electrical connections.The choice of tips is a welcome addition. All in all this is a nice soldering kit and an excellent value.

All the extra soldering tips made my tasks super easy
I like how light, smooth and comfortable the soldering iron is and the look is sleek. I honestly thought I’d have to buy the other materials like the wire and the flux and stuff, but it came complimentary in a small package. I’m a total beginner at soldering, but that barely made a difference, I fixed whatever I needed to fix. OUTSTANDING beginners tool, the new skill I just dived into is well worth it and the heat control system makes everything super simple. I can see this being well used for a long time for small jobs.

i had to fix my i phone its less than 8 dollars it did what it had to do and its done phone works if u r looking for a product that is better made you are looking in the wrong place it is a good product for small jobs if u r a pro look elsewhere

Overall a nice soldering iron in such a low price. Handy for your small projects.Flux is solid and not paste. Stand is bit flimsy.
