I am uncertain exactly what the differences between this and a human thermometer but it does seem to be quite consistently accurate whereas human ones do not seem to be consistent.It is very easy to read and the bright yellow color makes it easy to find if you store it with your other first aid things. Especially a few store in the same area that you keep your human thermometer in.The quality is excellent and the cost is very reasonable. Some companies mark up their product just because it is labeled for pets. This company does not seem to take advantage of people like that and that is a huge score from me!

Inaccurate Temp and Exchanged One Was Also.
Iâve had a digital thermometer for my dog for nearly 12 years and though it has always been consistent with her normal temperature, I saw this product and thought the flexibility of it would be good to have. However, the first one I received showed an in accurate temperature (like 98 degrees) so I exchanged it for another one and the same thing happened. Perhaps they are calibrated incorrectly?
