    Great for first timers
I know jack-all about soldering. Bought this so I could put an LCD backlit screen into my GBA and GBC. Works great, heats up fast. All the attachments give you all the options you need for the task at hand. The different tips attach firmly and don’t come loose. The only thing I wish was better is the stand, but for the price, I have zero room to complain. Great tool and easy to use.

    What a Bargain!
I bought this thing after my 20 year old Ungar’s element took a crap—for $10 I thought if it actually worked I’d be impressed—well not only does this digital iron work really good, but it’s nice to be able to change temps for really small delicate jobs—I soldered a Metra vehicle specific adapter harness to a aftermarket radio harness today–this iron heated fast-cooled fast when turned off and did a really good job–frankly because it’s much lighter/smaller than my Ungar it’s much easier to handle–so yeah I’m very impressed—now let’s see how long it lasts–also it’s got a good assortment of smaller tips I think I’ll like it for circuit board touch up

    It works for me
It heats up quick. Easy to use. I’m not a soldering expert but have done a few things (like repairing PS5 controllers/etc) and it works for me. It’s light, so definitely not the top shelf quality. The sponge is useless, get a solder ball for tip cleaning. The included tips are good for a various array of needs. It does seem to cool down pretty quickly too. Even after soldering at 800+ F. Maybe not for a professional but for someone new to soldering with a couple projects, the price is right.

Soldering Iron Kit, 80w 110v LCD
This is a nice soldering iron. I’ve been soldering circuits for well over 50 years and have run into good and bad irons. This one is good, and provides enough heat for most circuit board type repairs or builds. No complaints, and the LCD is nice so you can set it the same each time once you get to know what setting you like. It comes with various tips also. Time to heat up to operating temperature is reasonable. I actually purchased two of these over some months.

Everything a soldering iron should be for me.
First, I don’t solder. I use this to make holes in things like flower pots and to turn soda bottles into flower pots. My old iron was not hot enough and had to be unplugged after each use. This has an on/off switch and heats quickly. And the price is perfect. It comes with all the doodads one would need if one wanted to actually solder but I can’t speak to their usefulness.

The bigger the job, the bigger the blob
Very nice, you can not only adjust its temperature but it has an offset calibration setting for very accurate temperature control. It can display in C or F and it remembers all its settings even after unplugging from the outlet. The tips are very easy to change. It even came with a small block of rosin flux. The rest stand seems to be made from Bakealite, so the tip won’t melt it, but don’t drop it on a hard surface as it may break. The sponge compartment is a nice touch for out of the box use, but it is a bit small so I use my larger sponge. The instruction book was informative but you have to interpret the translation a bit, but it is helpful. It came with a standard tip plus 5 more various tips. It also came with a good amount of solder. The iron is lightweight, comfortable, and very easy to handle. The LCD display is very easy to read. It goes from off to 760 F in under 2 minutes.Update: While handling the soldering iron, my hand would sometimes rest up against the buttons, depress them, and change the temperature on me (usually the white minus button which lowers the temperature). What I did: I used a shop razor blade (the kind used for razor scrapers) and carefully trimmed each button flush. Now my hand won’t press the buttons – I just use blunt ended tooth picks to press in the buttons. Works fine, lasts long time.

    It gets the job done
Bought this knowing full well what I was getting. Lot of inexpensive parts, thin metal iron holder, thin sponge, non-heat resistant power cable, tip loses heat a little quick, etc. At the end of the day, I needed something that would get the job done and this did it. I wish it came with lead free solder, but meh. Easy to use, inexpensive, and it worked.

    Best outdoor Soldering Iron
Be sure to tin each new tip as it first begins to heat up and use good solder from a reputable manufacturer. That said, I have never had an iron that works as well as this one. It heats in seconds, so you can leave it switched off until you have everything ready. Works great with trailer and stereo wiring. Even for battery cables if you need. This has wattage to spare!
