Iâm in middle school Art Teacher and I run an art club and Iâm always looking to see what we can use in the classroom or what I can recommend recommend to my students that they can affordThis set has all but one thing that my college drawing one class required that I purchase. (It lacks conte crayons.) This is a really low price for what you are getting even just for the basic drawing supplies and the starter paper pads. Basic drawing techniques are taught using the 12 graphite pencils, and it has the good art erasers and an art pencil sharpener. There are six black charcoal pencils, which is another common learning to draw exercise. There are three white charcoal pencils, which is another beginning drawing technique, which is used on the pad of black paper. There are colored pastel sticks and a special pastel pad of paper and sponge eyeshadow, applicator, and sponge replacement heads to use to modify (blend) the pastel sticks. There are also some pastel pencils.For colored pencils there is a cool set of 12 fluorescent colors which kids and teens like. There are basic colors of colored pencils which you can do custom blending with and there are 12 metallic colored pencils, which are fun. Thereâs a colored pencil extender holder for when your pencil gets too short to hold your hand comfortably.If you really want more colors of colored pencils, this brand KALOUR also sells all different sized sets of colored pencils at low prices. Then there are 12 watercolor pencils and also 24 watercolor cakes and there is a little watercolor pad to try out these paints with.Thereâs a white gel pen which can be used to put highlights on if you are drawing in graphite, pencil, or charcoal, black pencil. You can also use the white gel pen on the black paper to do drawing.Iâm not really sure the purpose of the palette knives are in this kit, those are usually used to custom blend acrylic paint and that is not in this kit. There are three blending stumps to use to blend graphite pencil.Thereâs a lot of basic drawing art supplies here for a student beginner. This would be excellent for a middle school student or a high school student who wants to try these different drawing techniques and you can save a lot of money by getting it in this kit.Thereâs also a coloring book that you can use with the colored pencils.The case holds everything and it zips closed for easy storage. I canât believe everything youâre getting here for a low price. This is for beginners and students. There are free tutorials online to teach you all of the beginning, art lessons that you want by watching videos. If you know, a kid who or a teen who really loves art, this really would make a fantastic gift.

I am super pleased with the quality of this art set and the quantity of pieces that it comes with. This set comes with a nice assortment of artistic mediums and the books that come with it are really great and allow you to use every piece in this set. So I think this would be a really great practice or starter set for people interested in art and wanting to try it out without buying a whole grip of items separately.I’m really excited to get started coloring in the coloring book. The tutorial of the bird that comes with it is a bit too advanced for me, but on the flip side of it there is some pretty great information regarding the different types of media included in the set. I found it very informative and I think other beginners would too. Overall, great set. This is something I’d definitely either re-purchase or purchase as a gift.

This set has everything a beginner artist would want. Whether is pencil sketching, charcoal, pastels, watercolor, watercolor pencils, and colored pencils. All the tools are included too, like pencil sharpeners, a paint brush, blending stumps, erasers, etc. I didn’t think that the watercolor pencils would be of a very good quality because of the price, but both those and the regular colored pencils seem to have a lot color output. The colored pencils feel nice and smooth, not scratchy like a lot of other pencils in similar sets where the manufacturer tries to be all things to all people. The watercolor paints go on nice and thick, and don’t seem to dry real chalky. They aren’t professional quality, but neither is the price. A couple of the green/teal colors looked almost identical, but you can mix them with other paints to get a color you like. They will be good for the learner. All the different papers that come with this set is another bonus, so you won’t have to go buy specialty paper for every medium you want to try. This would make a wonderful gift for a teen that just wants to create, and even for an adult that wants to try different things without breaking the bank buying everything separately.

You get a lot of bang for your buck!
This was a pretty professionally put together kit, compared to what you normally get with things like this. This is definitely not your daughter’s art set. Even a professional artist will find a lot they can use here, and yet it’s perfect for the beginner as well. It has all the basic tools and then some, and lots of media depending on what your personal different interests might be. You can really explore with this. The colors are brilliant and lie down readily. and I kind of hate to say this as it kind of shocks my sense of value, but the pencils, for example, seem to be a (much) higher quality than many of the much more expensive ones that I already have. The instructions are clear and in color… I could really go on and on about this kit, but believe me, for once I have to say I think the value exceeds the price and that is very nice to know! Not only is this great for yourself but this will make an excellent gift to pretty much anyone that has even the slightest inclination towards exploring their creative side.
