High quality
These are an excellent addition to your little one’s kitchen. Canned goods with lids that really open so they are very realistic when your little one is cooking. Thick cans with plastic lids that fit well. Colorful labels that include ingredients, serving size, calories (“just enough”) and serving suggestions – so fun. They stack easily so they don’t take up much space. Our little one has started to recognize the same canned goods at the grocery store and I probably end up with more canned corn in my cart than I need at times.

This is such a cute and fun set for any play kitchen. Our toddler loves them. We don’t allow her to play with them unsupervised. We do that with all toys. Great product for the price. I would highly recommend this product.

I bought my toddler the Melissa and Doug Grocery Store so these were a must! They are super durable and look so real. The tops of the cans can come off but there’s nothing inside. These are great for pretend play!

If you’re a parent, knowing that this is a Melissa & Doug product might be all that you need to know. The company has a reputation for making some high-quality childrens’ products. If you’re only reading this review to figure out whether this is a well-made product, you might not need to read any further – it’s a good product and a good value at this price.Okay, still reading?This is definitely a good product, and my children really enjoy playing with it. We purchased this along with the Melissa & Doug “Fridge Food Set” and found both to be great “food” toys, but although the kids play with them at the same time, the products are rather different from each other.This product contains a set of “cans” which feature very nice graphics (or “labels”) and removable plastic can lids. I appreciate that although the lids are removable, they fit tightly enough that they are never in danger of falling out accidentally. The cans themselves are made from a heavy paper or cardboard type product, and seem durable.With 19-month-olds currently playing with them, I can also appreciate the relative light weight of each of the cans – when thrown (not that we encourage throwing food cans in our house!!) the cans cause no damage to people, pets, or surrounding objects.In summary, I’d definitely buy this again. It might not be exactly what I expected when I originally ordered it, but the kids love playing with it, and I feel it’s a good value at this price.

Please note I have two kids, 1 and 3 but they are gentle. When we opened them for the first time they had a tiny bit of wear as the sides are similar to toilet paper roll cardboard. I love the little ingredients list and suit the purpose of my boys’kitchen, but after opening and closing them not 10 times the wear showed. Buy them on sale and know you may need another set in a couple months. I fully support M&D products I just thought they would be a little more sturdy?
