Awesome Connection
Wow, Iâm very pleased with this product! I am an adult education teacher who visits off-sites so I donât have a permanent classroom. I needed this product to connect wirelessly to the overhead projector. My initial buy was a different product, but it never worked for me. I was so frustrated with it, so I decided to try a different product and I came across this Timbootech HDMI Wireless Transmitter and Receiver. It connected immediately after a couple of seconds ð I connect and disconnect every class meeting and itâs so easy to do so! Itâs reliable and fast. Thank you!

Excellent Customer Service
Product is excellent and is exactly what i would want from a HDMI wireless transmitter. Even if not in line of site to the receiver it still gets reliable signal. Only issue i had was the original equipment i initially received was faulty and the seller walked me through all troubleshooting steps with patience and diligence. Ended up receiving a replacement free of cost and now it is working great. Highly recommend the product as it has not given a single problem in the past month that I’ve been using it.

Exceptional Clarity and Response Time
Bought to support search and rescue/ recovery efforts using an Atuel 340T drone, Autul smart controller and large TV. Connected receiver to large screen 4K TV running off an inverter in the back of the response vehicle (SUV). The small transmitter fits the Autel controller unobtrusively with velcro on the back and easily plugs into the standard HDMI. Range tested was at least 50 yards without dropouts. Observers were able to clearly see the image in near real time while I concentrated on flying the drone. Excellent performance for the price. No tech support needed.

Good but not what I was expecting
So I like that it does exactly what it says. My wife and I use it to teach our classes from our tablet and iPhone, and it does a really good job. The lag that it states in the instruction manual is hardly noticeable. You really wonât know unless you read the instructions so itâs not that bad. However, there are small things that I wish I would have known.1. If you want to stream videos from Hulu, Netflix, stuff like this, and you are using Apple it wonât work. It will work, however, with androids, but it will not stream from Apple products. This product supports the audio but not the video for Apple products.2. If you wanna stream stuff from laptops, game, consoles, and other items like that, you do have to connect the adapter to a power source if your source is not strong enough power wise.Overall, I canât complain too much. The set up is super easy. Connecting is super easy. Itâs just the fact that I wish I wouldâve known the two topics mentioned before spending money on this.

Overly complicated and in the end didn’t work
Instructions very unclear on the packaging, so had to Google with a third party to get it to work, but it turns out they gave me a faulty piece. Gotta love that

It works!
I have to admit, I was a little skeptical that this product would work (without maybe being super-close with line of sight), given the mixed reviews many similar products have, but I took a chance on this one after seeing it had a lot of good reviews. To my delight, it worked on my first try! And that was even with a room in between the transmitter and the receiver, plus needing to go around a corner, including one (open) doorway–technically open-air all the way through but not line-of-sight. My original plan was to run in-wall HDMI cable between the two rooms, and maybe I will still do that some day — but this is so easy I would have never even started that project (I already did one room) if I knew this would work so well.I have only tested with 1080p on the receiving end, since that is all my “receiving” device supports, though the specs say it should be able to handle 4K. My goal was to use this with an old “TV” (technically an old computer monitor) in my kitchen to mirror what is on the actual TV in my living room. For that, I added an HDMI matrix in between and put the transmitter on one of the outputs (and the TV on another). I did not have any problems with an Apple TV and HDCP — another concern for me — though it’s possible my HDMI matrix handles that on its own and this transmitter/receiver is just piggybacking on that. (Interestingly, you’re also supposed to be able pair multiple receivers with the transmitter, so some use cases could probably leave out the matrix–but I definitely like having my regular TV wired directly to something.)Adding to all of these good things, the device is fairly reasonably priced — even a bit less than similar products with more questionable reviews. Power comes via USB-C (and a USB-A to USB-C cable for this is provided), so you can use a common USB power supply and not a bulky adapter as I’ve seen with some others. All in all, a great buy!

Long transmission abilty when able to connect -long HDMI cord not needed.
Bought this HDMI transmitter because of long-range ability (165ft) which seems to work great… although getting setup and connected seems touchy (Mac on MacOS 14.5 Sonoma). Biggest inconvenience, probably because of long-range ability, both the screen receiver side and the PC transmitter side need to have USB-Power connected in addition to the HDMI Feed in and out -which can be cumbersome to find in many situations. But when it all connects, it works great (video & sound) with little to no screen delay. I really would like to try dual transmitters (2 separate PC’s) switchable to target large screen but that is a significant extra purchase for second transmitter.

My security dvr is in the first floor and i wanted to move my monitor upstair. It took me 2 mins to plug in the receiver and transmitter and it just works out of the box!!! The video is good as well and no lag noticeable. Worth every penny and save me the hustle of running the hdmi wire upstairs

We bought this to connect laptops to our boardroom tv. We had been using native Windows connection but found it flaky. This unit solved that issue. After a wee bit of confusion in the setup, it has worked flawlessly to connect a variety of laptops and tablets.

I returned this product because it continuously stuttered while watching 1080p TV. I think it would be fine in a conference room to look at presentations or spreadsheets. In my application, I had a digital TV box located in the house and was hoping to watch it on a screen located on an outside deck (about 40â away, through one wall).Pairing of the transmitter/receiver was easy. Video worked immediately but, unfortunately, it would continually stop, stutter, and then work well again for 10-15 seconds before the stutter would repeat. When it worked, the audio and video was very good but the video stutter got annoying after about 5 minutes of watching so I returned it.

Current price point at the time/date of this review: $169.99 with a $10 off coupon provided by the seller. Seems a little pricey from the outset, however this is a highly versatile and long reaching TX/RX set (transmitter/receiver kit.)If you really need it, then consider this unit since itâs currently marked lower in comparison to many other similar units currently available. However, my suggestion is to only get it if you really need it. As I write this review, Iâm making the assumption youâre making a well informed decision and youâre well aware of the features and benefits of this product. Be sure you actually NEED it. More on that below.Itâs like youâll want this wireless HDMI for a few of the reasons listed below:1) You want wireless connectivity to an older TV set, projector unit, monitor, etc..2) If youâll be connecting this to a TV/Projector, then check beforehand whether it already has casting or mirroring capability. If it does, and the unit youâre transmitting from has casting/mirroring function available, then itâs really likely you wonât need this device. Try and see whether you can get this to work without the âmiddlemanâ If youâre unfamiliar with casting/mirroring, do look it up. Most modern mobile devices, laptops, computers, browsers, TVâs, etc. are more than capable of this.3) You can benefit from the super low latency and/or signal quality and distance. The nice thing about this unit is that it transmits your signal really well, up to 4K without bogging down any network traffic.4) You donât have any sort of bluetooth/wifi/widi network to connect through. Then this would be a perfectly acceptable alternative.Assuming the need is present, then this would make an excellent choice for its intended purpose.

I like this casting device as it is more versatile compared to others. You can easily stream from a PC or laptop to TV using the dongle paired to the receiver, or directly from your device connected to receiver by miracast or airplay.First of all the devices are smaller than I thought and quite lite (although the receiver case is metallic). Both of them are USB powered (cables included), and the package includes also 2 miniµ HDMI adaptors, an HDMI cable and a sound cable. The devices setup is not complicated, just plug the hdmi cables and the usb-c power and they should be paired by default (the manual has instructions if a reset and re-pair is needed).I’ve tested first with the transmitter connected to a docked nintendo switch, and the receiver to a 55″ 4K TV, but the streaming kind of stutters with short image delays. Trying to stream youtube from an android phone by miracast connected directly to the receiver (same tv) works better, but in full screen the video also stutters. Streaming Netflix from a laptop by miracast though seems to work well on a mirrored screen on lower resolution (not 2080p).I think the stutters happen mainly on big screens with high res, so if the intention is to cast on smaller tvs/monitors the device might be good enough, otherwise there might be some lag issues.
