Lyrically Lush!
This score is rich in textures, rhythms, and themes. Sometimes the texture is smooth and velvety and sometimes it is ruff and coarse. I love music like this which is lyrical in the themes, creating many different emotions in the listener. The opening track is a good example, setting up a suspenseful rhythm with a techno beat and drums, starting out very quiet, and then it builds like a prowling tiger that is getting ready to pounce on its intended victim. Track 2 is great with two themes going at one time: first a beautiful theme that start off with a harp/piano sound, and then another theme of horns and strings come in that is filled with love and concern. Track 3 is one of my favorites, heavy on the synthesizer and techno beats, it is powerful and intense like something out of a terminator movie. I will not go through all of the tracks, but Track 7 is another one of my favorites which brings to my imagination music that could be used for many battle scenes, but the one that came to my mind while listening was an air strip is getting bombed and then modern jets take off in pursuit of the enemy and a dogfight ensues in the air. This whole album has wonderful music, ranging from tender, loving themes to powerful, heroic themes. It has become one of my favorites, and I can honestly say their is not a track that I do not like. At the end of the album, there is a wonderful suite with many of the themes in one track that he uses throughout the album. Happy Listening!

Captures the moods of the tv show!
Blake Neely’s music sets the mood of the show perfectly. At times, the music is gritty, it’s loud and at other times quiet and contemplative. The use of electronic sounds combined with percussion instruments (especially drums and symbols) combine well to set the wide range of moods each episode evokes.This album provides 29 tracks and 78 mins of sheer enjoyment. The TV episodes are based on DC comics and therefore,in this series, an action packed thriller. The plots are often intense and the music reflects this. This CD album is certainly a good buy.

A good score and a good first experience with Amazon on-demand.
Blake Neely’s score is moody and heart-thumping. It truly does feel like it belongs to a movie (which I also said the show “Looks like a movie” when I first watched it). The first and last tracks are definitely worth the listen, and it’s great to put on and relax to, reading a book or something. Far and away better than I expected, and I hope Neely’s got enough for a volume 2!This is also my first experience with an Amazon On-Demand product. When I first saw DVDs and CDs that could be manufactured on demand by Amazon when you order them, I was hesitant, because they make it clear that they are DVD-Rs or CD-Rs, the impression being that of the seller in your local mall who’s selling pirated films, which of course this is not – Amazon has selling rights, and I actually am glad such an initiative is set up. Supply and demand in action, and it helps the environment.The quality is absolutely top notch. Inner sleeve is just like you’d get in a regular store-bought CD, disc and a glossy, pristine print job, and the reverse, where all the tracks are indicated, also doesn’t falter. Each printed piece has a barcode on it, and it’s all housed in a jewel case. While it may be on-demand, it’s certainly not sloppy.Highly recommended for fans of the show, and great music on its own.

Arrow straight and true!
Outstanding soundtrack Blake Neely is an outstanding composer. There is not a cut I would not listen to. While driving this is the cd to have on during a long drive. Superhero music has come a long way since the old days. Neely makes a fine contribution with the Arrow series.

J’ai découvert la série Arrow , pour laquelle je n’attendais rien de spécial ;La bande son m’a tout de suite frappé ,ses musiques ,ses sons tanto chaud pour l’ile et tanto plutôt froid et rapide pour la ville.Pour tout les fans de cette série cette B.O est indispensable .
