perfect!
The product works flawlessly, the tone & vibrate mode are all the is needed after 2 shocks. My son tried the shock on his arm to be sure it was not too much; he would not consider it in humane. Good quality and videos were just as illustrated. Yes 5+ stars, would highly recommend. Great on a large dog.

Great E-collar for the most stubborn dog.
The Garmin Sport Pro is the best E-collar I have owned. I’ve tried a couple of cheaper ones because I didn’t want to spend the money on a better one but after several issues with the cheap ones I regret not getting the Garmin one sooner and save the money and headaches of the cheaper ones. On this Garmin Sport Pro collar the instructions are clear and simple. The collar charges fast and is easy to sync. It has the ability to control up to 3 collars at the same time with the flip of a color coded switch. Everything is completely waterproof, the buttons are spaced perfect for easy access to all features, and the sensitivity dial eliminates the accidental adjustment to a different intensity level due to the detents. This collar has a 400yd range but I haven’t been anywhere to test that yet. The only slight negative I can think of is that I’d doesn’t come with a lanyard. For the price it should be included. The collar is long enough for the biggest dogs. I have a large Golden Retriever 90+ lbs at 1 yr. 4mo. Old. He didn’t respond well to any other training methods until we tried the E-collar method. We rarely use the shock part because he responds to the tone button most of the time. I have the intensity on level 1 and when he doesn’t listen with the tone he I use level 1. I haven’t tried anything higher than that yet because he responds perfectly most of the time. I have been using this collar for about 1 month and it works great. We charge it every other day and use it every day.

Worth the money!
Charges pretty fast. Very easy to use. The battery also last a good amount of time. Usually donât have to charge the remote or collar for a few days. Great quality as well. Worth the price.

It works!
As long as you get the contacts to get through the fur and touch your dog’s neck, it works great. It is easy to use without looking at the remote, so I can keep my hands in my pockets if it’s cold out. The battery on the remote lasts forever! The battery on the collar lasts a long time. The white LEDs are easy to see at night unless they get blocked by fur. The vibration is very gentle, so it’s great for training the dog to use the collar. Be very careful when finding which stim level to use on your dog. My poor puppy didn’t react at all. I kept upping the level, and she just lay down. I thought she couldn’t feel it, so I kept increasing it. She did feel it but didn’t know how to react, so she just laid down. Eventually, she yelped in pain, and I felt bad. I recommend using the vibration instead when first starting out. The bark collar mode can’t be used if you are also using the remote. You must hold down or tap the buttons multiple times to get out of the bark collar mode and back into remote mode. You can also turn on the bark mode from the collar without using the remote. To turn it back off, you have to do it from the collar. On my 8-month-old German Shepherd puppy, I use level 3 stim for most everyday walks. I use higher levels if there are deer and many cars by, and I’m concerned she might try to chase the deer or run into traffic, etc. I’ve never had to go above 6 with her. Before I used it on my puppy, I tried it on my hand first, then my neck. Level 10 is not fun and would deter me from any behavior, but it isn’t exactly “painful.” It’s extremely uncomfortable and makes your muscles tense up. I dropped the remote on a sidewalk from pocket level once, and it just scraped it up a bit in one spot, but it didn’t do any real damage to the controller; it was just cosmetic. I only gave it four stars because it should come with a belt clip and lanyard. I don’t know what Garmin was thinking when they designed the charger. It’s like five pieces of old-style USB. It’s weird and overly complicated. I don’t know why. The accessories are crappy/lacking, but the actual remote and collar are nice. There are many aftermarket collars to replace the black buckle one that comes with this. The black buckle one is secure and waterproof but difficult to get on and off. In closing, it works great for giving me the confidence that if I need to get my dog to obey me in a sketchy situation, she will. I’m able to walk my dog off-leash, worry-free. Thanks Garmin!

Does both Bark and regular E collar
This collar is great. I was looking for a collar the would do both jobs, E collar for standard training. And a bark collar. The bark feature works off of the dogs throat vibration when they bark. So when he gets out in the back yard and starts barking for no reason. It will auto correct him. And with only a coulpe days using the bark feature. He no longer barks for no reason. We spent the better part of a year trying to train him to stop barking. The collar fixed the problem in days, and we never went above level 2.The E collar works off of buttons on the remote. The remote is very well designed. Purposely set up so that you don’t have to look at it to change intensity, or to apply a correction to your dog. That is great since you are focused on your dog, leash control and the remote, all at the same time. Very easy to learn the mechanics of using it.The Garmin brand was one of the brands recommended by my dog trainer. After I found it. He checked this model out and liked it enough that he bought one himself.IF YOU ARE NEW TO E COLLARS. (I was) I DO HIGHLY RECOMEND CONSULTING WITH A PROFESSIONAL TRAINER BEFORE USING THE COLLAR. The instruction are vague. And different from what my trainer has me doing.

Work awesome.
Works great just like it should.

The sport pro are fairly expensive but they really are full featured an the always work. Another thing is their long battery life I can go 3+ days before charging the collars and at least a week for the remote. My dogs respond very well to tone and vibe. I trained them tone is come and tone is stop what your doing but no need to come. Static is not used often and only when needed primarily for safety concerns. I use two collars and switching between the two is easy with no need to look at the remote.

Bought this collar to help teach my dog recall. She’s a stubborn hound who is a rescue and didn’t get trained recall as a puppy, so she catches a scent and takes off in the bush. The product is expensive, but I trust Garmin products and I didn’t want to buy something cheap that would accidentally hurt my dog.Love the dial on the remote because I don’t have to mess with buttons to set it to the level I need, and when you have a fast dog, that’s a great time-saver. Levels 1-3 are a tickle, and 4-5 don’t hurt, but are just a little jolt to get your attention. I tried level 6 on myself too and it doesn’t hurt a lot, but it’s definitely unpleasant and I won’t be using past that level and really only will ever use it if my dog is in danger. We only used it on e because my dog ran off in the bush and was in the road. Stopped her in her tracks and she came running back though, so it works. For dogs that have thicker skin (or skulls) the higher levels would probably be useful. Also love the tone feature! She has learned that with the tone, it’s time to come and I don’t have to use the vibrate or shock on her at all anymore. It’s also good in a bit of water if your dog accidentally falls in the water, but it isn’t meant for swimming.Really impressed with this product! I’m glad I dished out the money for it.

As with all Garmin Products you get what you pay for. This set up has great value and functional operation. It is tough and resilient, effective scalability and great battery life!

I like the collar. It does the job. I would buy it again. However, I wish I could speak to headquarters and tell them to put a strap on collar instead it the buckle one. We need to charge this thing every day and to unbuckle and buckle again and again can be a challenge especially with a crazy energetic dog like mine. The wiring of the charger is also outdated. If I could speak to them Iâd tell them to use C3 cable connectors like their competitors.

Had this device 11 years ago when produced by Tri-tronics.Garmin has added the new light feature, the better vibrate feature, and the automatic anti-bark feature. These additions are great to have. This is a quality product and worth the premium price.
