I bought this device to connect my 100 cd player. I was about to get rid of it because it didn’t have a HDMI port only rca port. The product is easy to use and my cd player works perfectly. Outstanding product for the money!

I can confirm this works with retro video games
I can verify this works for the original Xbox, Wii, GameCube, Nintendo 64, PlayStation etc. etc. etc.It also works going into a HDMI hub which probably says more about the HDMI hub quality than this but it does work so I would say this is a pretty good purchase before you even consider the price⦠The price makes it just an absolute no-brainer in my opinionWhen it comes to something like this I don’t want options, I don’t want features, I don’t want buttons or remotes or anything. I wanna plug it in and walk away from it and that’s what you do. It feels a little flimsy but that’s just because it’s so light. And because it’s so light it means I can’t really control the wires. More to the point the wires control it so if you need to move a system don’t expect the wires to stay put they’ll just kind of move the little box all over the surface but it’s light enough that he could probably dangle behind without putting any strain on the wires or anything. I say go for itEdit: the last 2 photos are proof that I have it plugged into an HDMI hub.The last photo is the universal AV wires that I use for super Nintendo PlayStation GameCube and Xbox and Xbox 360.I leave those systems hooked up and whichever one I turn on is the one that sends the signal through the AVI cables. The AVI cables (Red White and Yellow) go to this AVI to Hdmi adapter (the item you are considering purchasing and reading this review for)Then it goes from that device to my HDMI hub then from that hub to my TV.It works without a a single issue so far

Compact, easy to use
Product was well packaged and very easy to set up even bypassing the instructions, which were included and well written.Have only used it a few times, and it is completely satisfactory but at this point unknown life span or reliability.Two negatives :1. The product includes a power cable but no adapter. That’s ok but the specifications only state a 5V adapter like a “phone charger” and not the power required. A 1A supply seems to work adequately.2. There are no markings on this product as is usual and legally required for consumer electronics such as FCC, input & outputs specs, RoHS, UL or other agencies.

Performs as described
So far (1 month) performs as expected – there’s nothing magical – Tested it for both audio and video – using only video daily – stays unplugged until I need to use it – connecting a VCR (yes – VCR) to a TV which normally displays one of the computer screens – 1-2 times per week I play an old tape on the TV – will reassess 6-9 months into it – these things tend to fail long term but I hope this will continue to work as it has for the first month – so far – 5 stars

Fast set up and works
I have this plugged in to an old DvD/VCR playing on a projector. I stack an old PS3 on it so I use one of those power ports for the adapter and trade off whether the HMDI from the projector goes to the PS3 or converter. Good little unit.

MANDATORY Wii UPGRADE!!!
Previous 480i component sVideo output was causing jittery flickering crosshairs, on our 25 year old (1080)PlasmaTV (upscaled thru Denon4700 receiver). And video performance was ugly as well. Once we plugged this item inline (set at 720) the jittery crosshairs were immediately smooth and the video was a marked improvement as well! What I was attempting to accomplish however, was to get digital audio thru my 10.1 surround system. It currently only outputs L R and Sub but the video is so good I will deal with the lack of surround. If anyone has ideas please let me know!
